Stacy couldn't sit upright. She could only curl up into a ball. She had no feeling in her legs and her back was in intense pain. 

"Stace!" The doctor gasped as he walked in.

"I'm a prey species..." Her voice wavered as she tried to set up some kind of punch line. 

She couldn't. The doctor made his way to her bedside and lowered himself to be at her eye level. "You guys do your best to never show any pain. You're in pain."

She understood what he meant. She appreciated that he understood what exactly the look on her face meant. 

"In the time it took me to get here, we've had you scanned and poked and prodded." He sighed. "Your bipedal surgery..."

She looked away. "Really."

"I mean..." He stood up and shook his head. "Stace, you know me. There's no cameras here. No one should have ever operated on you to begin with."

"My hands work now." She limply flailed one of her hands. "How many revisions did that take?"

He didn't know if she was being sarcastic. The pain meds had to be kicking in. 

"I'm probably just talking to myself at this point..." He pulled up a stool and sat next to the table. "But you know I always thought that this all was wrong. Where would you be if..."

"My parents met in a refugee camp." She laughed weakly but with a touch of venom. "If it weren't for the Union, I wouldn't exist." She flopped over, away from the doctor. She was ready to make a dramatic statement, but instead she just let out a shriek of pain. 

"What do you want?" He made sure his voice was as compassionate as possible. 

There was silence. She weakly responded: "to quit my job."

"Yeah." He sighed. "Would you be okay just... Being in a wheelchair?"

"Honest..." Her train of thought was cut off. She suddenly shrieked.

A nurse ran into the room. "It's surgery time. We need to get her intubated and start the anesthesia."

"Don't we need to actually ask what she wants?" The doctor looked offended on behalf of Stacy.

"No." The nurse shook his head. "This isn't us being authoritarian. If she moves the wrong way, the hip conversion that snapped off might stab an organ and she'll be in a very, very bad place."

"So don't move?" Stacy held as still at she could. 

"Her... Hip conversion snapped off?" The doctor was dumbfounded. "And it might stab her internal organs? How is that possible?!"

"It was experimental, Doc." Stacy moved as little as possible. "They didn't know what they were doing. How could I say no to anything they wanted to do?"

Another nurse came in to help prep Stacy.

"You're not going to be much of a help here, Doctor." The new nurse shrugged. "Go comfort another patient for us. This will be a while."

The doctor just stared in shock as Stacy was wheeled away. 

How Is Shino Tsukune's bank?

Tsukune has a four pitch VCV bank with an additional strong pitch and a CV bank all wrapped into one package. The strong pitch is included in the prefix map, so it is five pitches even though there's two B4s.
