Axfc is a jerk. Here's my post on how to get downloads from there to work.

Multi-pitch CVVC banks do not work properly with the shareware A for automatic button!! Any articles where I complain about CVVC banks being broken is my own fault for not figuring it out sooner!!

mitu-web / 屑屋みつ's UTAUs - An Investigation

Who is Rei Nakine? Where can I download 鳩羽音グレオ? Isn't 琴乃ミマ adorable??

mitu-web / 屑屋みつ's UTAUs - An Investigation

After my last investigation, I needed a break from boys that sounded like girls. I was in luck, because the next collective on my to-do list is packed with women!

This collective is run by Kuzuya Mitu. This is an actual collective with multiple voice providers, one main designer, and one main artist. My understanding is that "U-to" provides all of the OTO files, but I also don't exactly know who that is.

Luckily for me, this is a collective with seven UTAUs. Only one has more than one bank (or so I thought), and I can't use one of her banks due to not speaking Korean. I only have nine banks to review (or so I thought), and I'm happy about that. Let's get to it!

Forgotten Friday #18 - Azuri Senritsu / 旋律アズリ

Who is Azuri Senritsu? Why does this design feel so familiar?! Who made Senritsu Azuri?

Forgotten Friday #18 - Azuri Senritsu / 旋律アズリ

Recently in a conversation, I said "My head is fuwafuwa. I don't know what fuwafuwa is, but that's what my head is." When I started this series, I promised myself I'd go one after the other in order. How cool would that be?! It would be like reading through the history of UTAU. However, my note taking was really bad and I got really lost. I will get to the UTAUs I skipped over eventually, of course, but for now I'm just letting myself take a big skip forward.

That aside, I really need to find a way to actually tie the opening blurbs to the UTAU in question. I've got quiet a few articles lined up to write, so I'll just leave this one as a mess that has nothing to do with the UTAU.

Wiki Wednesday #8 - Selky

Who is Selky? What is a Selkie? Where can I download the UTAU Selky?

Wiki Wednesday #8 - Selky

Hi there! As these posts are scheduled, you wouldn't have noticed I had taken quite a long break from writing. Back issues meant that sitting in my computer chair was nearly impossible. However, I'm back and ready to write! However, I have slightly forgotten how to write.

Reading a few previous pages reminded me of my Wiki Wednesday format, so let's jump into it!

Forgotten Friday #17 - 御楽 奈々子 / Ongaku Nanashi

Who is 御楽 奈々子? Where can I download Nanashi Ongaku? Does Ongaku Nanashi have a design?

Forgotten Friday #17 - 御楽 奈々子 / Ongaku Nanashi

At what point does an UTAU stop being an UTAU? Does an UTAU need a name, a design, and a bank to be considered an UTAU, or does it only need a bank? You can tell that this UTAU has at least a name and a bank. However, that name was only meant to be temporary. Taking that into account, this UTAU has no official name or design. Of course, there's one video, and it has a design.
But that design is never referenced or mentioned again. Despite having that video displayed on the UTAU Visual Archive, it lists this UTAU as having no image.

おかゆのおんど。/ Sprinkler Cat's UTAUs, An Investigation

How do you pronounce 福音℃? Is there really an UTAU named Canon? Who is Okane Yuga?

おかゆのおんど。/ Sprinkler Cat's UTAUs, An Investigation

Sometimes I look through the voicebanks I downloaded and ask myself, "Wait, what?"

I have no memory of ever listening to these banks, but they're in my downloads folder anyway. There are twenty banks in total. I guess that's good for me, as I have no preconceived notions of what these banks will be like!

I credited this collective as Sprinkler Cat's UTAUs because Sprinkler Cat is the Twitter handle of the person running the site. As I said before, I am going in blind. I'm not sure if Sprinkler Cat is the voice provider of all the banks, but I'll poke around in the ReadMe for each bank. (Also, this isn't exactly a collective if this is all Sprinkler Cat's personal work. Let's ignore that!) Let's get started!

Forgotten Friday #16 - 有屋ギィ / Ariya Gii

Who is Gii Ariya? Where can I download 有屋ギィ? How does Ariya Gii sound?

Forgotten Friday #16 - 有屋ギィ / Ariya Gii

I have a bad habit of seeing an UTAU's design and instantly saying "I love you and I will protect you from this cold, cruel world!" without once hearing the voice. This is one of those cases.

This mentality can end with severe disappointment. If the voice isn't a match to the design or doesn't live up to the design, you end up liking the UTAU even less. Luckily for me, this UTAU's voice matches its design.

Wiki Wednesday #7 - Ami Yami and Fokkusu Keki

Who is Ami Yami? How can I download Fokkusu Keki? Why does フォックスケキVCV1.0 come as an exe?

Wiki Wednesday #7 - Ami Yami and Fokkusu Keki

This is one of those cases of fudging the numbers because I have a story to tell.
Not included: The release video with around 400 views because it used the katakana name
This article was originally just going to be about Ami Yami, who barely squeaks in with her release video at almost 300 views. However, I like to write about all of a user's UTAUs at the same time so that there's no backtracking. Besides, I did say that duets get counted differently. A jump from 900 to 90 views shows that it was a fluke as far as Fokkusu Keki's name recognition goes.

I'll be briefly abandoning my usual format for a second for a history lesson.

Forgotten Friday #15 - 竜歌ちま / Ryuuga Chima . . . b'aw :(

Who is Ryuuga Chima? How can I  download 竜歌ちま? Who made Chima Ryuuga?

Forgotten Friday #15 - 竜歌ちま / Ryuuga Chima . . . b'aw :(

This UTAU fills me with a sad form of disappointment. If the UTAU was left as its version one, it would be a typical ancient CV bank. Not really great to use, but whatever. Nostalgia for really old banks is fun, even if it's a hassle to use them to their full extent. However, just days after recording the "official bank", 雨_月, Chima's creator, created a version 1.1 bank. And it sounds perfect! Except for one fatal flaw that ruins the whole thing. I'll complain about that in the "How are the banks" section. First, let's get into who Chima Ryuuga is.

トマトのヘタ / Tomaheta's UTAUs - An Investigation

Who is Ginne Tei? Where can I download Hinon Gomi? Who is 真琴カナタ?

トマトのヘタ / Tomaheta's UTAUs - An Investigation

All together, with some banks missing due to AXFC being wonky, these UTAUs come to over one and a half gigabytes unzipped. That being said, there are ten UTAUs in this collective. It's a lot easier to swallow the whole over one and a half gigabytes thing when there are ten different UTAUs!

I'm generally really loose with the word "collective". Three UTAUs by the same person? Call it a collective to justify using it for an Investigation piece. Unlike those cases, this one is an actual collective with three people working together. (Check the website for yourself if you wish!)

However, I have no idea who these people are. They all use what I assume were pseudonyms that couldn't be used to track them down on any other social media. The names on the profile of the blog translate as Tomato, Apple, and Udon. While taking care of the blog and website was apparently Tomato's job at first, responsibilities were eventually shifted to Udon. The blog has been abandoned since 2013. However, by using the BowlRoll links on the website, you are able to see that MIZUSAWA UDON has reuploaded all of the banks very recently. From the BowlRoll user page, you can find Udon's Twitter profile

Now, there are ten UTAUs and I'm estimating there are about fifty banks I need to sort through to write all of this. Let's jump straight in! This is going to be long, so I'm going to plop a "Read More" in right here.
