Recently in a conversation, I said "My head is fuwafuwa. I don't know what fuwafuwa is, but that's what my head is." When I started this series, I promised myself I'd go one after the other in order. How cool would that be?! It would be like reading through the history of UTAU. However, my note taking was really bad and I got really lost. I will get to the UTAUs I skipped over eventually, of course, but for now I'm just letting myself take a big skip forward.

That aside, I really need to find a way to actually tie the opening blurbs to the UTAU in question. I've got quiet a few articles lined up to write, so I'll just leave this one as a mess that has nothing to do with the UTAU.

Who is Azuri Senritsu?

Azuri Senritsu is quite an old UTAU with her release date stated as September of 2009. Ironically, her stated age is only 13 years old. (Giving her a birth year of 1996 does break my brain a little. Ignoring it makes her 13 years old. Acknowledging it makes her old enough to drink!) Digikari has stated that Azuri's name holds no meaning.

There isn't really too much known about Azuri or her creator Digikari. Poking around and Googling "Digikari" shows that for the most part, she has been missing for years. However, she was credited as writing for a translation site. Granted, there was no mention of that name on the site itself.

Thankfully, Digikari isn't the type to delete her old accounts. All of Azuri's videos are still view-able on her YouTube page.

How is the bank?

Azuri is one of those UTAUs that just has one download link and leaves it at that. 

I've tried to make a point to not harp on OTOs, even when preutterance comes before overlap. For that reason, I ran the bank through Moresampler's auto-OTO feature. Issues with the audio caused Moresampler to get really, really confused.

There are issues with nonexistent consonants. For this bank to be one hundred percent usable, you will need to do the morally gray act of editing the samples in Audacity or REAPER. And that makes me sad because I love this adorable voice!

Something strange is that I can tell from Azuri's official cover of Leia that there was an updated version of Azuri at one point that had slightly better capabilities. But I literally don't know if that version was ever uploaded.

Where can I download Senritsu Azuri?

The download link for Azuri is on the sidebar of Azuri's official blog. This voicebank won't be easy to use, but if you feel like you're ready to get yelled at for editing an UTAU's WAV files, this bank is for you. The voice is adorable and the vowels aren't robotic.
