Wiki Wednesday #42 - 梨音ナツカ / Nashine Natsuka
First, wow! This article was released on Christmas! It's so crazy to me when articles fall on significant dates. Sadly, this article has nothing to do with Christmas and isn't very special when compared to my other articles. I'd say it will be pleasant and average.
Well, except for one thing. This is my first Wiki Wednesday hosting samples on Google Drive! That means that I don't have to worry so much about running out of time. This UTAU has four banks, and I can upload samples from all four banks if I want to!
Another something special is just that every time I see this UTAU, I think, "This has to be a lie. This cannot be correct. How does this UTAU not show up on YouTube with thousands of views?" The only time she shows up at all is if you search her romanized name, and even then it's just a video with under 200 views. This UTAU feels like she should be super popular! Regardless, I just sent a tweet to her voice provider asking if they want to record English for Natsuka. Well, I'm tired and I'm not exactly sure what I wrote. But I tried!
Who is Natsuka Nashine?

And don't get me wrong, I don't want to be drinking bottled water. But sometimes you don't have a choice. My grandmother doesn't even have municipal water! She has to rely on a well! And the well was fine and dandy for most of my life. It wasn't great, but it was only a little eggy from sulfur. But guess what! Global warming happened! Now, the water is just straight up black half the time! It won't kill you, of course, but it tastes worse than Deer Park!
But anyway, Natsuka has two character traits and they are her love for France and spring water.
How are her banks?
Natsuka has four banks. Two CVVC, one one pitch CV, and one one pitch VCV. One of her CVVC banks is really, really massive though. It has six pitches! I'm going out of order for this one to get her giant CVVC out of the way.
Now, I'm not the hugest fan of the high pitches. They're quite yelly and such. But oh my goodness. This bank, "梨音ナツカ 多音階CVVC" has some low pitches and I am in love. In love.
multipitch cvvc
AA!! I would literally cry if Natsume recorded my English list with her low pitch voice. Anyway - her second CVVC and her CV are actually the same bank... Only the CVVC has two mora CVVC added to it. (Yeah! Crazy stuff!)
As you all know, I just don't touch CVVC unless it's English or I just really feel like wasting time. For that reason, I'll only show her CV and not the bank with the CVVC addition. In all honesty, I do believe I'd rave about how awesome this bank is if it weren't for the Multipitch CVVC. There's some minor clipping in this bank which gives it a pretty specific sound. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but I recognize game. But!! The beautiful low notes of the multipitch CVVC!! I can't get them out of my mind!

Finally, we have her VCV. The clipping problems from the CV have been fixed and the tone is a little softer. It's not as good as her low notes in the multipitch CVVC, but I love this bank so much. It escapes the generic yelly banks that annoy me with the... I can't put into words how much I absolutely adore this UTAU.

Where can I download Nashine Natsuka?
You can download her on her download page. She is properly loved on NicoVideo with one video having over 5,000 views. But that should have spilled over to YouTube! I'm in shock that this UTAU isn't more popular because I love her.
update 201910 (I'm updating before the article is published, heh.) I spoke to Natsuka's voice provider, and she realized that she hadn't updated the download page since she had first created it, meaning that there were banks I didn't test in this article. It's not too much of a big deal for me to omit them, and I may have left this article without any update, but she has agreed to record English using my list! That bank will be unique enough that I will have to update this article with a small blurb on her English bank. Here's to hoping that I get my Christmas present from her before this article goes live!
