There's a saying that I can't remember. The vibe of it was "no one wants to listen to your dreams. They will never be as interesting to literally anyone else as they are to you."

There are cases where dreams are interesting to other people. Sometimes stuff is crazy. Sometimes you end up with Thomas the Plank Engine. That's a subreddit dedicated to memes that you dream!

But dreams are weird. Like, they are just your brain trying to make sense of everything in your brain while it just processes everything. 

My dream world was so much better than the real world when I was young. I trained myself to sleep for over twelve hours at a time and still got mad when I woke up because I didn't want to exist in the real world! I wanted to exist in my dream world!

Probably now that I'm older and have experience in the real world, my dream world is a lot less fun and magical. Like instead of dreaming about flying and meeting vampires, I'm dreaming about trying to throw a party with people who don't exist in real life. 

I do think that sometimes the imagery in my dreams is pretty cool and people would like to see it. But it's hard to describe it in a way that does it justice and I'm not sure I would be able to make it look as cool as it did in my head. 

One of the themes is being terrified of the moon. It's huge in the sky - more giant than the sun. Then it does stuff. Like I'm just staring up at the moon. It's taking up like a quarter of my field of vision. One time, the moon turned into a doll head and fell to Earth. I'm sitting there freaking out as the moon gets smaller and smaller until it's just a doll head bouncing on the ground towards me. 

Once... The moon just straight up exploded. I was watching it and it was like some kind of light show was going on until it just decided... Nope. No more moon.

It's just a "you had to be there" thing. But no one else could have been there! It was all in my head! 

Then there's stuff that would be interesting to no one that is just so interesting to me. Like, "I have a recurring dream that there's an attic access in my closet and I turned the attic into a hang out spot" means nothing to anyone else.

When I was really tiny I did dream that there was a hole behind a Barbie poster that took me to a Barbie fan club ran by some weird old man, though. I have no idea why that one has stuck with me so much like twenty-five years later. It wasn't recurring as far as I know. It just happened once, but I remember it really well. 

Remembering dreams is weird.
