(Note: Aruan and Ouura are at this point the only Aaiuu to be capable of speaking English. However, this means that they are unable to speak Aaiuu. Anything said by Aruan should be assumed to be in English run through a translator. Anything said by any other Aaiuu should be assumed to be in Aaiuu unless explicitly stated otherwise. Aruan can understand Aaiuu fully so she does not need a translator to understand other people. Unrelated to this story, but Ouura does not understand Aaiuu at all.)

Euaen had just been given a job by his parents. He was dressed in business casual as he strolled around the factory with two supervisors. Everything was completely uneventful until he heard someone yelling in English. When the supervisors ran towards the noise, he followed. 

What he saw confused him. A woman holding a small child on her hip was yelling at two men. They were confused and scared. 

The supervisors ran up and took the two men away. Euaen nervously walked to the woman. He towered over her but he still felt nervous. "Was that real English?"

She looked at him with disgust in her eyes. She responded sarcasticly. 

He pulled out his phone and opened the translation app. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch that."

She scoffed before responding in English. "No. It was fake English. I made it up. When will the line be back up?"

He was taken aback. "I'm sorry? How are you speaking English?"

She stuck out her tongue and used it to point at the hunk of metal in her mouth. The normal Aaiuu tongue was completely connected to the bottom of the mouth. It was impossible to stick their tongues out. Well, impossible without surgery.

"How did you do that?!" He cried out. "Why... Did your..."

She laughed. "That's why I can speak English." She looked back at the line. "It sure would be nice if you didn't hire morons who gummed up production." She huffed. "As you can see, I have a child to feed."

"I... I have questions." He was visibly confused.

"You're the new boss, huh?" She laughed. "What, you going to fire me if I say no?"

"I'm Sterile." He held up his hands defensively.

She laughed. "Wow! You could have fooled me!" She shook her head. "That's not how it works, by the way. You don't wait around and find a room."

He was uncomfortable, but he realized he brought it on himself. "Well, yes, but... I have questions and you said the work is being delayed. So... Would you be willing to follow me up to my office?"

She shrugged. "Fine, boss man. I'll go up to your office and tell you my life story. It's not very interesting."

"I guess that's okay." He turned and started walking. "There's only three life stories on this planet, aren't there?"

She shrugged as she followed him. "You're probably right. Pretty sure that it is nothing really worth sharing."
