Wiki Wednesday #365 - 武志ケチャ / Kecha Takeshi
Who is Takeshi Kecha?

It's funny. I really want to work on my blog right now... But I need to wait for the new tablet so that I can really put it through its paces. I have two projects I'm currently working on but neither has an actual deadline. There's technically a third extra project that I really want to get to.
I'm excited to use more UTAUs. It really stuck with me when I did the math that the ten year anniversary of this blog means I will have used over 1,000 UTAUs. I definitely want to keep going after that! But wow. If it ended there, that would be a wild ride.
Now, I'll be honest, that sounds crazy. If I wanted this blog to last for twenty years, I would need to use over two thousand UTAUs. Are there even that many?!
So, there's a chance that utau just loses the entire fandom. But even if it crawled to a halt, I just need 52 UTAUs every year to cover Wiki Wednesday. I feel like that isn't too big of an ask of the fandom! And if in one year, only 104 UTAUs get released... I'll have material for two years!
Forgotten Friday would be the one I would be more worried about. But then I just need to remember... The window I set is that the UTAU just needs to be five years old. If I covered every UTAU made before 2020 by some magic (the visual archive was up to over 3,000 UTAUs by 2020), I can cover the ones from 2021 next. Then another year would have passed and I could cover the ones from 2022. Eventually, 2025 will be five years ago and every single UTAU that exists at this very moment would be old enough for Forgotten Friday.
It is a little funny how seriously I took this back in the day. I would actually do research to make sure that an utau qualified. If an utau had a video on YouTube that was more recent than five years, it was disqualified from Forgotten Friday. If it had videos with more than like 300 views, it was disqualified from Wiki Wednesday.
Now... I'm more on the side of "Forgotten Friday is Japanese and Wiki Wednesday is overseas." It just happens to be that I started using the Visual Archive for Forgotten Friday and the Wiki dot and the Wikia for Wiki Wednesday... (Though that one is in the name!) It just so happens one is filled to the brim with Japanese UTAUs and the other one is more suited to overseas UTAUs.
Though... It does look like in two years, only nine new utaus were added to the archive... I think there are other places Japanese people are uploading the information for their UTAUs. I don't know where they are... But perhaps they are out there!
Though... I still haven't actually exhausted the Matome. I should have worked more on that... But I really, really like the visual archive.
