Ritz tried to sneak into her room but her giant legless snake tail made it a bit difficult. Even if she had succeeded in being sneaky, Liona was waiting for her. 

"Girl, spill." Liona leaned forward on her paws. She was another creature like Ritz only she was a strange lion like creature with the head of a person. 

Pipa groaned from her bottom bunk. "It's late! I was hoping to sleep, not go into detail about how right we were." Pipa popped her head out from the bunk. "Unless there's juicy details." Whereas Liona and Ritz could take pictures that made them look like a normal person, Pipa looked more like a fish than a person. 

"No juicy details." Ritz groaned as she pulled herself up onto her top bunk. "He saw me, he yelled at me, and he was gone."

"You know he's got a ton of girls he can get pregnant." They could all hear Mace rolling her eyes even though she was hidden by her blanket fort on her top bunk. She did her best to go along with everyone, but her extremely sensitive skin meant she did everything to stop light from touching it. Like Pipa, she looked more like an axolotl than a person. 

"And no one to make little babies with me." Ritz rolled her eyes. "Being the last of my kind sounds cool and poetic. But I don't think about how profound it is that an entire planet dies with me. I think about how no one wants to date me just because I have no legs!"

"Girl." Liona furrowed her brow. "You did not just say it's because you have no legs."

"Have you seen yourself eat?!" Mace laughed. "You literally unhinge your jaw."

"Haha guys." Pipa was very deadpan. "Look, we all are fully aware that only Liona will get a boyfriend. Going on and on about what makes it so that we can never get a boyfriend just feels like bullying at this point."

"What makes Liona special?!" Ritz's tone was accusatory.

Pipa laughed. "She is one-hundred percent mammal. Do they care that we also have structures that are analogous to mammary glands? No. They just see our skin and think we're not even people. But some pretty golden fur?" She rolled her eyes playfully and told a very inappropriate joke. 

"Girl!" Liona laughed. "I'm flattered, but ew!"

"I'm just going to try again guys." Ritz sighed. "Since they downsized the library and I lost my volunteer position, I've got basically nothing to do."

"I just scam them for the lulz." Mace chimed in. "Even have a deal with the on ship police. They get a cut, I get to do small little scams."

Liona shook her head. "You guys are a mess. You're all welcome to hang out with me at the gym."

"My sad little fish bones would snap in half!" Pipa laughed.

"I'd rather stick to fake romance," Ritz sighed.
