Axfc is a jerk. Here's my post on how to get downloads from there to work.

Multi-pitch CVVC banks do not work properly with the shareware A for automatic button!! Any articles where I complain about CVVC banks being broken is my own fault for not figuring it out sooner!!

Wiki Wednesday #379 - Chiyo Isamu / 千代いさむ

yay! A single pitch CV! Much easier to cover.

Wiki Wednesday #379 - Chiyo Isamu / 千代いさむ

Chiyo is a very self assured seventeen year old girl.

Who is Isamu Chiyo?

Look, I'll be real with you. "Having fun isn't hard when you have a library card" was a lie.

Okay sure. Maybe in the big city where the library had upgraded their Commodore 64. But this was obnoxiously small town America where funding for the "fancy pants smart things" was shot down in favor of... I don't even know. I don't even care after falling asleep to a rousing game of "is it even legal to hunt this late at night" for the last few weeks.

But I felt drawn to a book. I couldn't explain it, but I was slipping out of the Young Adult section (Margaret, you're not Katniss, why are you here?) and in to the baby section. My fingers brushed against the spine of an old, worn paperback. What psycho stocks the children's section with paperbacks?

I pulled the book out and opened it. There was a thin thing with faded writing on it. I could see the words on the page through it. I pulled it out and stared at it. I was about to put it back in to the book when I heard a whisper.

"Dostoyevsky!"

I looked around. Even the librarian was out on a smoke break.

"Nabokov!"

The sound was somehow coming from the card. I glanced at the book. Charlotte's Web? Some pig indeed. I grabbed the card and placed the book on the shelf.

"You think these bozos grew out of Reagan?" I stared at the card. "There's none of that here."

It fluttered in my hand.

There was another sad and soft whisper. "Orwell...?"

I laughed. "Oh boy, really? I can take you to Bradbury and that's the best you're getting."

There were no whispers as I made my way to the adult fiction section. "Isn't it funny that the only dystopian I know I can find is the one about burning books?" I ran my finger over the stickers with the first three letters of the authors' names. There it was. Fahrenheit 451.

The card fluttered again.

"No," I rolled my eyes. "Brave New World is too racy for this library to carry it. Ironic how an old book could be so raunchy, huh?"

Of course I had read Fahrenheit 451. I was a cool teenager who hated authority... But in a polite and sanitized way.

The card went limp in my hand. I placed it on the book I was holding and poked at it. "You okay there?"

They're was a pause.

"Stephanie Meyer." The voice was resolute.

"Ugh. I think I have my mom's old copy of Twilight at home. It's definitely not here." I paused. "You wanna come home with me?"

"Twilight!" The whisper was so joyous.

I rolled my eyes and slid the card in to my pocket. "You're going to play like you're trying to explore Russian literature and then demand sparkling vampires from when my mom was my age? Lame, card."

"Yes," I could feel the card shaking. "Yes."

How is Chiyo Isamu's bank?

... Huh? Her voice is at times really cute, but it seems like at other times the microphone was broken? Interesting things can be made with her in this state, I'm just so curious as to how she came to be in this state.

Note: the reason I didn't go all out and do a C + V test is because I do think this bank might be fully salvageable through splicing and processing, but that is something you need permission to publicly do.

Where can I download Isamu Chiyo?

You can find her on her wiki page!
