Forgotten Friday #82 - 刻音イオ / Kokuon Io
This UTAU is just the kind of UTAU that doesn't exist. I found one mention of her existing on a list of UTAUs, but that resource didn't give a reading for her name. I plopped it into Google and got Kokuon. I looked up the kanji on Jisho and got Koku also. It could be Kizane, possibly, but I'm guessing most people who spoke Japanese would just go straight to Kokuon. So... I'll stick with that.
So! Here's a diet tip for all of y'all for no real reason. Junk food is good for your soul. And, like, you'd be really shocked how low calorie it is. One spoon of canned frosting is like 160 calories. One Little Debbie Frosted Fudge Cake is like 160 also. Potato chips are like that, too. There is one exception, and that is drinks. Sodas are just empty empty empty and you don't feel much different than if you drank diet. Drinking full calorie soda won't make your heart feel happy the way a Taco Bell burrito or a can of ravioli will, and those have just about a hundred more calories than a large coke from McDonalds. Speaking of which, I think I'm going to take a break to drink a diet Pepsi. I am trying to be coherent but I'm not doing the best. I should eat real food, but I kind of want a soda more. Why did I talk myself into wanting a soda!?
I really prefer Pepsi Zero to diet Pepsi, but I think I prefer diet Coke to Coke Zero. Diet Pepsi is insanely sweet. I took one sip and was like, "Wow. This is very sweet." Anyway, onto the picture section.
Who is Io Kokuon?

Here's another "dere" archetype! "Dorodere" means someone who looks cute, but is wicked on the inside. But, like, Io straight up looks like she's going to burn down someone's house because they didn't compliment her hair in her character art.
She's twelve and has a giant chicken. Is it a real chicken, or a stuffed animal chicken? Why do I ask these questions.
I think she has a strong sense of justice and really wants to be a pop star or something? I mean, like I said, this UTAU kind of just straight up doesn't exist. I'm getting the information from her character file and google translate. Her manager is someone named Mao.
How is Kokuon Io's bank?
She has one bank. I'm pulling out the Yurahonya Koe UST for her, because like, I think it will fit her better than the stuff I made. As a note, I am definitely going to make more tester USTs, because I really enjoy making them now. As a young kid, I just like... Didn't want to make USTs. It wasn't fun. Tuning wasn't fun, and I couldn't hear pitch. I still can't hear pitch, but now I have new tools to help with that.
Io's only bank is a hiragana encoded CV bank. The average pitch is D4 with a logical range that extends up to C#5. She has end consonants, which is actually really cool! Not full end consonants, mind you, just a few.
Okay, the Koe UST wasn't the right one for her. She's too forceful.
The voice sounds really cute in the sample that plays when you click the sample button in the character information screen in UTAU, but the sample doesn't really sound like the bank. The bank is very forceful and a little shrill. (as a note, I edited the notes for it to be in key, which I almost never do. It almost turned the UST into an entirely different song. You don't really think about that often, I think. Just editing it to not sound out of key turned it into a completely different feeling because I just said "C major, only white keys" and did it randomly.)
Where can I download Io Kokuon?
The download link is on her release video. Let me know if the video gets taken down, because I saved the getuploader address. However, sharing this kind of information too freely is why some of the most talented MMD creators quit the fandom. So, it'll stay tucked away in my spreadsheet until it's impossible to download her without it.
I'm kind of shocked that this UTAU just like... doesn't exist. There was actually a bit of effort put into her. She's not just some "dumped on the side of the road flawed CV" - she's pretty good. Oh well, maybe people will know she exists now!
