that's not how Japanese names work, but why not leave it in?

Who is Kara Akai?

"Supposedly" fictional Chia here.
I was still sitting across from Claire. She was annoyed, I was annoyed, neither one of us wanted to be trapped in the office. But we were until I found a way to make her less insufferable.
I asked her if she liked when no one enjoyed being around her. She shrugged and bragged about her superior intellect.
I rolled my eyes. I even exaggerated the movement to make sure that she understood that I was rolling my eyes. She huffed. I pressed on and asked her what made her so smart. She lit up and started listing off all of the books she read.
I asked her if she understood them. She blinked. I sighed. I told her the truth that I had read all of those books also. They were all Union required reading for literature courses. Almost everyone on the ship had read them.
She huffed and I got an idea. I pulled out my phone and connected it to the speakers placed around the room. I pulled up the song that proved a human was a human.
I cringed as the intro to "Mr. Brightside" played. I made eye contact with Claire. She was unaffected.
Humans don't learn to sing and dance. They're born with a drive to do it. No human would understand how it could be unique. It's just an intrinsic part of them.
My species hates music. My mother, who forced me to sing along with her, didn't even like it. There was an evolutionary drive to avoid anything with pitch. Claire's species was different. Between all the separation of the lobes of her brain, the ability to feel music in a human way just wasn't there.
The chorus hit. It wasn't only humans that loved this song. If you randomly played this in the cafeteria, maybe a fourth of the people would stand up and start belting it out together.
But Claire just furrowed her brows. I stopped torturing myself and turned off the music.
Seeing her indignation, I went nuclear. With one angry tap, "Baby Shark" began to fill the room.
I was in actual pain. She watched me wince as she sat perfectly still. I turned off the music again before pulling up a few more songs. "Girl from Ipanema"? The same annoyed indifference she showed "Baby Shark". Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car"? She wasn't even kind of sad. Even through the discomfort, even I was sad hearing that song.
I finally switched off the music. I took a deep breath before asking why she didn't cry at "Fast Car".
Claire shrugged. She said that she didn't understand why it was sad.
It was like a quick time event in a video game. I could be painfully rude and try to hurt her, or try and be kind and risk ending up where I started. I picked the second option. I asked her how she can feel smarter than everyone else if she doesn't feel sad about "Fast Car"? The lyrics are objectively sad even if you don't understand music.
I paused before continuing on. All species had their strengths and weaknesses. Humans just connected to music on an extremely visceral level. I made an offer. If she stopped claiming to be human, I would let her go. It wouldn't be a delusion to speak to a therapist about anymore. It would just be her being a rude jerk.
She didn't like it, but she took the offer. Since she was no longer being delusional, she ended up being dishonorably discharged for being extremely, extremely disrespectful to her superiors. I got several fruit baskets that week for putting her termination in motion.
How Are Akai Kara's banks?
Akai has two banks: A CV and a VCV.
I noticed something interesting.
The otos barely exist, sadly. The voice is nice, though!
Next is VCV! I am very happy because the configurations aren't perfect, but they are good enough that I do not need to edit them to make this sample. Yay.
The voice is a little robotic, but not too much. It sounds nice!
Where can I download Kara Akai?
You can download him from his wiki page. He is nice!
the "Confront! You look so cool!" is a reference to a Teto song, i think. and WALTT is a furry UTAU. just thought i'd clarify so you're less confused. but i still don't know why those are in the file names
