Forgotten Friday #216 - 紅水りんじ / Guresu Rinji

Alright. I'm not Mae - I'm Emily. And I had a headache - or she had a headache when I took over. It's stressful to fully take over, but how would I have known? Mae had this whole plan for what I was going to say, but haha! I have control now. Okay.

The one I wanted to do is lost or something, so I just picked a random one. This one is some guy, and I really don't care. Mae is trying to front and make me say things about him, but this is a mess she made, so the picture should sum everything up.

Faulkner was sitting outside of the tavern when Blade approached him. Faulkner grunted to acknowledge him.

"I have received word that we must go beyond the city to defeat golden beasts." Blade smirked, "Shall I go alone? You may be the one who is defeated if you venture out."

"Why golden beasts?" Faulkner stood quickly. "What use is that?"

"They are how we obtain gold pieces," Blade rolled his eyes as if he had known that before reading the note.

Faulkner laughed as he reached into his bag. He pulled out a handful of golden pieces. "Like these?"

Vanessa had just caught up to Blade as Faulkner revealed the gold. She mouthed 'how?!'

Blade was barely holding onto his composure as Jasper called out, "All you guys won't believe my luck!"

They all turned towards Jasper. He was holding handfuls of gold pieces over his head. "I almost got attacked, but my arrows did the trick! The animal keeled over and these showed up!"

Vanessa looked up at Blade. His face was red and he almost looked as if he was going to cry. She held back laughter as she pointed at the inn.

"You're right, friend!" Jasper smiled. "We've gotta check on Becky!"

Jasper led the group as they made their way into the inn. Vanessa wanted to cheer up Blade in some way, but then she remembered how condescending and obnoxious he was. There was a part of her that realized he was probably deeply insecure and completely useless in his home world, but he refused to even entertain the idea that she was actually competent. Maybe Becky could be kind to him for her.

Vanessa silently sat down next to Becky as Jasper and Faulkner negotiated with the inn keeper. Blade hung back, crossing his arms across his chest. After a few moments, Faulkner was picking up the still sleeping Becky. Jasper was somewhat clued into the fact that Vanessa could actually hear, so he explained. "We got three rooms! One for you and Becky, one for me and Faulkner, and one for Blade. We've got enough for two nights now, but I can get more gold tomorrow."

Vanessa looked out of a window. There was no way that an entire day had passed, but the sun was still setting. She was starting to realize that time passed in relation to plot progression.

Becky continued to lightly snore as Faulkner carried her up the staircase to her room. Vanessa quickly caught up and opened the door for them before following them in herself. There were two twin sized beds. Faulkner placed Becky on one and pulled the sheet over her before leaving and closing the door behind himself. Vanessa looked around for a bathroom. She didn't need to use it, but it would be nice to know where it was. There wasn't one. The room was nearly empty except for the two beds. The wall opposite the door had a window and what looked to be a wood stove recessed into the wall.

This room looked nothing like the other floor. It actually looked like it was physically impossible to exist above the bottom floor. The floor and walls were both made of grey stones as if they were back in a medieval castle. That would almost make sense… if the beds didn't have modern box springs mattresses. She was excited to discuss everything with Becky, but she was still able to fall asleep without triggering a time skip.

How are Guresu Rinji's banks?

There's three of them. CV. VCV, and CVVC. 

The headache briefly returned because Mae wanted to say something, and I know what it was. The design wasn't one she enjoyed, but the voice was one of her favorite male voice types. The CV is fine.

CVVC has the same voice type and has nothing wrong with it.

The VCV is, again, Mae's favorite male voice type, with absolutely nothing wrong with it.
