Mina was about to throw something. The bartender had just helpfully informed her that they were in a dry county. Mina didn't throw anything. The bartender started to give her a rehearsed story about how they had always dreamed of living in an old Western saloon. The aesthetic was the important part! Not the alcohol! 

Mina had access to all of the documentation. She knew that it was impossible to ferment fruit into alcohol in this world. 

She planted her forehead firmly on the bar. This action was strange and unfamiliar for the bartender, so he walked away. 

"Hey..."

Mina looked up. There was a man who obviously didn't fit in sitting next to her. 

The world was sweet, quaint, and innocent. Other than service workers and fathers, there were only women. There were barely any grown adult women - the majority were vapid girls who had some vague age of 'this is totally legal, we swear'. Though, Mina knew there was nothing sinister. The developer just had a very specific interest in seeing a bunch of girls live very simple and easy lives. 

"You know..." The strange man looked entirely wrong. Everyone else was inhuman. Beautiful with no flaws. This man, like Mina, looked like a human. "I've got it figured out. It's a simulation!"

Mina slowly nodded. She brought up the man's information. He had been there the whole time, so he wasn't added along with her as a suspect. He was using a more advanced model than everyone else, but it wasn't one that should actually be able to break the fourth wall like that. 

"Really?" Mina couldn't act. She was too annoyed at the situation to show any emotions. 

"Think about it!" He laughed. "Like the universe is made of math, right? We're all in some big simulation!"

Mina was a combative person. She would argue with anyone just for fun. But there was no point. She needed to pretend that it wasn't a simulation. 

"Wow, huh." She stated dryly. "Do you think the aliens are in control? Or are they part of it too?"

The man looked so happy. He laughed. "You know, they say, there's lakes on the moon. There's probably a bunch of aliens up there!"

Mina's mind skipped for a moment. She smiled. "As a hardened detective, there is overwhelming evidence that there are not aliens on the moon. Can you explain why there may be?"

The man recoiled. "You okay?"

Mina quickly shook her head to try and get back on track. "Yeah, sorry. That happens sometimes. You're telling me we haven't been to the moon?"

He was confused. "How would anyone be able to go there?"

Mina quickly wrote an email in her mind to the developer yelling at him for not informing her that there had been no Space Race in this world. "You know... Like, how far away is it even?"

He laughed. "I like you. You're an independent thinker!"

"Haha." Mina screamed on the inside as she politely laughed.
