Wiki Wednesday #340 - DelphicVoiceAddragh's PU-03
PU-03 is a machine that was partially brought to life with magic.
I really don't want to come off as rude or like I'm telling anyone to change anything. While I'm having a migraine episode (but not in an active attack), I'm mildly photosensitive. Due to a combination of the photosensitivity and my dyslexia reacting poorly to the custom fonts, I wasn't able to actually read much on the official websites without feeling ill. I didn't have a seizure or anything! I just felt really sick like I was going to throw up. I closed it out and looked away and I was 100% fine! No lasting symptoms. But if you're photosensitive, then you'll want to be careful.
Who Is PU-03?

One of the weirdest differences between Tennessee and Los Angeles is the juice section in grocery stores. Maybe things have changed since 2013, but it always blew my mind.
Out in Los Angeles, all of the juice in clear bottles in the cooler section had separated. Like they'd go back to normal if you shook them.
That wasn't a thing in the grocery stores here. All of our orange juice was one color. I don't even really remember it separating like that in the fridge. Maybe it did after a while but I didn't let orange juice sit around for long. I love that stuff!
My favorite oranges are navel oranges. You cut a hole in it, poke around, then squeeze it! You get to extract that juice like a vampire! Then you get to peel it and eat all of the pulp.
I definitely love orange juice a lot. Especially with extra pulp! But juice isn't good for you. So I would much rather have oranges.
I've seen people complain about it online so I know it's not just me. We got a bag of some kind of citrus. Probably some orange or tangerine or whatever. They weren't the best quality so I wasn't eating them quickly. One day, there was a puddle under the bag. One of oranges just straight up liquefied. It hadn't been there long enough to do that given all of my knowledge of citrus fruits. But it was just so messed up, it made a mess and took all of the other fruit in the bag with it.
I know it gives very "old man yells at clouds" vibes to say that something is wrong with produce these days and that it used to be better. But it really feels like something is wrong with produce these days and I swear it used to be better! I never remember an orange liquefying on the counter. I don't remember oranges growing mold within like a week, but now that's a thing that they do sometimes! The entire thing about eating oranges on Christmas was that that kept well and could be shipped all over even though they were out of season.
Oh well. It's a real gamble to buy fruits now. The best plan of action would probably be to just buy the individual fruits and to not go for the bags. But like... That's a lot of effort that I shouldn't need to spend on making sure I can actually eat the oranges that I buy!
But maybe it's a bit of a good thing that I don't have regular access to citrus fruit. I really, really love eating oranges and they do have a ton of sugar. But you know how it is when someone goes shopping and a bag of Cuties ends up in their cart. It's just a thing that happens that I just need to wait around for. It's in the universe's hands at that point. (I'm manic and I've been up for probably too long.)
How is PU-03's bank?
The download from the website has no file extension. Or it believes .0b to be the extension. This is an easy fix - just rename the archive so that it ends with ".zip". You may need to make file extensions visible to be able to do this.
PU-03 has a two pitch CV bank. She has a very nice voice!
Where Can I download PU-03?
I'm a bit too photosensitive right now to get the real link, so here's the wiki page!
