Axfc is a jerk. Here's my post on how to get downloads from there to work.

Multi-pitch CVVC banks do not work properly with the shareware A for automatic button!! Any articles where I complain about CVVC banks being broken is my own fault for not figuring it out sooner!!

Wiki Wednesday #342 - Roco NZl / Roco Lazuli

I am nervous about the holidays as I write this in December of 2024.

Wiki Wednesday #342 - Roco NZl / Roco Lazuli

Roco is a sixteen year old boy who loves eating meat but hates eating sweets.

Who is Roco NZl?

TW: explicit diet talk. Skip to "how does this bank sound" to avoid this.

Okay so, sweet potatoes are not fruit according to WW. They cost points. But you know what if zero points? Squash.

Or more specifically, the squash that companies are just allowed to label as pumpkin. And it's really blatant once you get a can of pure pumpkin that is actually organic real pumpkin.

The taste isn't far off. All pumpkins are squash, but not all squash are pumpkin unless you're a canning plant that's selling canned squash in a can that says pumpkin.

Real pumpkin puree is an ugly color and I always thought it to be runnier. Squash labeled as pumpkin is a really vibrant orange and is really thick. It's a bit difficult to get it out of the can.

So when I was a kid, apparently I just had the idea that I needed a sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving. I have no memory of this, so I just have memory of there always being sweet potato pie at Thanksgiving. My family hadn't done that before that first time and somehow I had convinced myself that sweet potato pie was a Southern staple that my family had always participated.

Making a vegan pumpkin pie is actually difficult. My grandma found the secret, though. If you add sweet potato, it tastes like sweet potato but it has the texture of a normal pumpkin pie!

Sweet potatoes cost points because they are very sweet and filled with starch. I was wondering, why is pumpkin zero points? And then I remembered that I dump zero calorie pancake syrup into my pumpkin to be able to eat it more easily. The stuff is really bitter!

A can of canned pumpkin is a great snack on WW. It's a ton of food - an entire can of food. But it's still only like 140 calories.

I do calorie count, but sometimes I'm in such a bad place, I need to just ignore calories and do WW. I still count my calories because I will explode mentally if I don't, but I just ignore when I eat 2,000 calories in a day but stayed under my WW points. (It is very easy to eat too much beans and corn.)

I definitely love my zero point pancake syrup though. It makes it a lot easier to eat the pumpkin instead of something that's objectively more pleasant to eat.

When you're low income and vegan, your choices for what you can eat freely on WW are really limited. I'm really grateful that canned pumpkin exists and that it's so readily available. Growing up, I thought you could only buy it during the holidays. I mean, who wants pumpkin in August?! Me. I want pumpkin in August just as much as I want it in November.

If only they found a way to get rid of those weird, gross crunchy things in the canned pumpkin...

How Are Roco NZl's banks?

Roco has two one pitch CV banks: SunShine and SnowFlake.

SunShine has a very nice, high quality voice!

SnowFlake has a much softer tone.

Where Can I download Lazuli Roco?

You can find him on his wiki page. He's cool!
