Forgotten Friday #125 - teiravaniの海麗 / Urara

 I am going so insanely out of chronological order. I kind of have to so that I don't paint myself in a corner and have to write more articles before I can finish processing the current batch. There are so many UTAUs that belong to a family. vmg has seven in a row in my spreadsheet.

Forgotten Friday #125 - teiravaniの海麗 / Urara

So, the Visual Archive when translated wrote his name as Kairei. That is a really cool name! Naw. The reading is Urara. Way less cool, but also way more original. 

Who is Urara?

Urara is a five month old male fry with a male voice. He was supposedly released on the 15th of June in 2012, but I don’t think he was included in the Ruto.yu listing. Which is strange, but oh well. U-va had a literally impossible release date, since her Visual Archive page was made around 2015, but her release date was stated in 2017. My guess for U-va was that she was released way back in the day, but had her release video and bank taken down. In ‘17, she got a new bank and a new release video, and her release date was updated to be that. I don’t know how to edit the pages.

Urara is a merman. He has a light blue tail and matching light blue hair that reaches his shoulders. One eye is covered by scene bangs and there is an “ahoge”. His green eyes match the green gem that is where his tail and human torso meet in the middle of his body. I believe that his gills are on his ears, as that is what I think is poking out from behind his hair.

I don’t know how the ages of children work, but I’m pretty sure that his age of five months is based on the accelerated growth of mermaid children. I don’t think a five month old child can sing, but what do I know? I think eleven year olds are four years old. (That is hyperbole!)

So, I tried a vegan coffee creamer called Nut Pod. That’s an awful name, but it is the best creamer I’ve ever tried. I am very, very allergic to milk, and I am also extremely lactose intolerant. Also, milk just tastes gross. But, there’s something really nice about creamy coffee. I haven’t had a non-dairy creamer that gets halfway to the point of half-and-half until just today when I tried the Caramel flavored Nut Pod. It is unsweetened, which I dislike, but that’s not really a big deal. You can add sugar if you want to, and people should limit their sugar intake. 

But, I kind of came to the understanding after two incidents happening two days in a row that drinking caffeinated coffee is not good for me. So, instead of having healthy vegan creamer, I’m just going to get my caffeine from diet soda. 

If you’ve heard me drone on and on for long enough, you’ll likely remember that at some points, I have said that caffeine is extremely bad for me and that I need to avoid it. And that was true then, because my mental illness makes me a different person sometimes. When I’m one hundred percent, dangerously manic, caffeine will make me twitchy and feel paranoid. When I have my daily exhaustion, it’s really nice to have something to make it easier to keep my head from lolling over to the side. 

It makes me a tiny bit sad that I should really avoid coffee, though. I really, really like it. It’s the best way to start off your day! Well like, except for people like me. It makes my tummy mad at me.

How is Urara's bank?

Urara has a one pitch VCV bank. It legitimately sounds like a young child recorded it?! That one detail makes me think, yep. Perfect UTAU. The voice matches the design. The OTOs are really bad, but that's fixable. (Like... I don't think they understood how VCV works bad.) 

There are some things that will cause issues, but if the OTOs were fixed up, I think this would be just like... a bank that should be popular.
