Forgotten Friday #126 - 愛琉家のヒステリック / airuga's Hysteric

I do not like body horror. I do not like Yaoi hands and I do not like Yaoi feet. The character art for this UTAU makes me feel kind of sick. Thankfully, I don't need to show anything more than an icon here.

Who is Hysteric?

All of the character information is question marks. The visual archive actually notes that it might be a work in progress, but naw. That was the intention.

So, this UTAU is basically body horror. Now, a character can have six arms and four legs and not be terrifying. But the way Hysteric is drawn has his body contorted into an inhuman shape. His abdomen is no thicker than his arms and his hands and feet are beyond massive. To make it worse, he wears a gas mask so that you can't look at the face and say, "Well, the face is human!"

And the clothes. A croptop lime hoodie, blue jeans on one set of legs, and a skirt for modesty as his other two legs are bare (note: those might be cream colored pants?). And no shoes. I get being proud of drawing feet well. But they are so large they make me feel uneasy. This isn't a call out for all my people who are like Peggy Hill. Big feet aren't creepy or weird unless they're wider than your torso. Not longer. I'm saying if the span across from your big toe to your little toe is wider than your waist… you might need to see a doctor. 

I was enjoying watching Doctor Pimple Popper for a bit. I stopped because she kept removing lipomas, and that's not even kind of popping a pimple. The preview for My Feet Are Killing Me came on and I was kind of excited. But the preview had graphic surgical footage. You see, as gross as Doctor Pimple Popper was, it was just dermatologist stuff. It could be really gross and it is unsettling to see skin being cut into, but it was all under local anesthesia and never went far down at all. But I couldn't even bring myself to DVR the foot show. I really want to see people have their lives changed! I want to know what's the deal with everyone who was on the recent promos! But I don't want to watch invasive surgery.

Pushing myself to meet the six hundred word goal right now is difficult. When I was writing earlier, I noticed that I was making every basic mistake in the book. But, I'm useless for almost everything right now. I had a plan and I was going to do it, but when I sat down to do it, my brain just broke. I didn't process the visuals as fast as I wanted to and that confused me. I couldn't understand the sounds, and that confused me. I was trying to listen to a song, but the vocals just got lost and buried and I didn't understand why. I kept just mentally throwing myself at a brick wall. On the up side, I found like five gigabytes of stuff I didn't need in my downloads folder. I was going to sit down and do a few Wiki Wednesday articles to clean the place out a little, but that five gigabytes of extra space makes that feel less necessary at the moment. And I'm extremely glad for that because… I mean, I'm a writer. That's who I set myself up to be. I could have been an artist, but all my effort went into writing. I can handle this. Technical work, though? 

My brain is beyond fried from spending about sixteen hours over a few days doing OTOs. Fried!
