Forgotten Friday #357 - Yuki Sukaru / すかる雪
Alright! So depression sucks and I do not like it. I want to work on Diffsinger models but my brain says no. So here I am!
Usually I use this feature to cover Japanese UTAUs, but for now I'm thinking that I should cover truly retro banks.
Yuki is a very nice fifteen year old who loves green and celery.

Heath was sitting at his desk in the medbay of the ship when a nurse approached him. He was a bit confused as he looked up at her.
"You know Beaky Hutchinson, right?" She looked too excited.
"Ouura Luna?" He was even more confused.
"Yeah," the nurse nodded. "You know there's an entire planet with people like her!"
He leaned back a bit as he tried to place where the nurse was from. Most people in the Union would assume that everyone came from a planet where everyone shared the same basic body plan.
She saw the confusion in his eyes. She awkwardly laughed. "I'm... New here." She realized what had confused him. "I'm from a multicultural constructed society. For refugees and stuff like hundreds of years ago... But now we're just..." She shrugged, "A place where people grow up and live. Sometimes people were the last of their kind." She smiled, "But not Beaky! She has a whole planet of people like her!"
He nodded. "That's nice to know."
The nurse shook her head to ground herself and held out a folder. "Her name is Aruan. She's a tiny baby."
He took the folder and opened it. He shuddered. He had studied Ouura's surgery in detail. Everyone had. But he was always shocked to see the giant black eyes against the snow white skin. Somehow he could see past the permanently open remora mouth... But those inky black eyes got to him. He tried to regain his composure.
"So..." The nurse awkwardly laughed. "You're going to go save her."
He looked up at her. "What?"
"Yeah..." She nodded. "She has a birth defect. Her tongue formed wrong or something. They usually just let those kids..." She paused. Was there a polite way to say it? "They allow them to fail to thrive."
The words took a moment to set in. But the moment they did, he couldn't help but call out "What?!"
"Uh huh..." She tilted her head slightly. "You're a founder species."
He shook his head. He knew what she meant. The Union was a capitalistic nightmare for anyone who dug deep enough into the history. But they always had the facade of being good. Of being just. Of being in the right. The Union wouldn't just let a child whither away. Being cruel would lose more money than ignoring the child would save.
"When will my transport be here?" He sat down the folder.
The nurse awkwardly laughed again. "So, your dorm is, as we speak, being packed for you. You are going to be there for a while."
He shook his head. "How did they know I would agree to this?"
"There's like a twenty-five percent chance your parents told you..." She shook her head. "If you don't help others, you can't help yourself."
He froze. His parents didn't say that. But she was right - of the four founder species, one of them really did use that line to the point of it feeling like a joke. He laughed.
How are Yuki Sukaru's banks?
She has three banks. 1, 2, and 2.5. All of the banks are very small one pitch CV banks.
Act 1 cannot be used with romaji because the file names are capitalized. The voice is very nice and lo-fi.
2 was a huge improvement over 1! She sounds very lovely.
2.5 may just be 2 with a few improvements. Her voice is still lovely.
