Forgotten Friday #37 - Hairaku Ihiku / 敗楽イヒク
So, I've mentioned how Legendmaker's UTAUs represent a certain era and are a part of UTAU's history. Nothing shows that better than the fact that this UTAU was the first UTAU of 2010 (as according to Ruto).
This UTAU is a bit of a trip, though. No NicoVideo release, no YouTube video, and a ReadMe that is in one hundred percent English. He's saying he wants to quit because no one uses his UTAUs. Which, to be fair, like... You know... He was a kid, so even a decade later I want to be tactful. If there was another kid in this scenario, I would tell them to focus on one UTAU and to commission a design and some great art for that one UTAU. Because, like, well...
Who is Ihiku Hairaku?
Official Art Packaged with Bank |
I mean? You understand the issue here, I'm sure. But here's the bonkers thing!
This guy was the guy behind Tomero Chii!! Tomero Chii was one of the OG overseas UTAUs. He got used a lot to the point people were jealous of how often his UTAU was drawn and used!
And like, I literally used Chii just after he posted that! (Not linking because wow my production values were awful when I was a child.) He never told me about his random spam-UTAUs with weird designs. I just stumble onto them a decade later, super concerned whenever another one pops up.
So, this UTAU's personality is sad and frustrated... It took me all day to realize the UTAU was actually crying. This UTAU's family name is made of the characters for "loss" and "comfort". The comfort of loss. Dang.
Don't get me wrong, Legendmaker had his reasons to be sad in his youth. No matter how I feel about the adult Legendmaker, I just kind of want to go back in time to pat the kid on his head and tell him it will be okay.
How is the bank?
What did you expect??
Where can I download Ihiku Hairaku?
The download link is, for some reason, on a submission on Pixiv. This was the first UTAU added to Ruto's directory for 2010. I had to write about that bit of history, even if it's just... Not really... I don't expect anyone to use this, but if someone does to prove me wrong, that's cool too.
