Wiki Wednesday #44 - Toriga Happi / トリガーハッピー

So, I just got pushed out of the fandom again. It really feels like it doesn't matter how good you are as a person, or how much your works help. I wanted to just straight up quit the blog and YouTube over this. But, my YouTube channel is scheduled out until mid February, and I should be able to feel better and put the trolls aside by then. It will just take a few hours of work to get the blog sorted until February, so I'm pushing through.

So, this bank comes packaged with another bank. Literally, same DL, same ZIP. But, I'm just going to treat them as separate entities and get to the article on his counterpart next time.

Who is Toriga Happi?

Toriga Happi is actually Trigger Happy, only all Japanese like.

I really have to vamp for at least two hundred words, because I have my personal minimum word limit, and I'm not really inspired to do an extremely deep dive on the user who made this UTAU or anything else. I'm not completely cheating them, because there are two more articles on them that I need to write. But I have to get at least four done so that I can just forget this blog exists for another month.

And also, with the fact that I probably blocked like twenty people for harassment, I am really not wanting to open that can of worms of finding out about the human behind the UTAU. I'm sure Obpy is a total sweetheart and I have nothing to worry about. But if they aren't? They probably really are a sweetheart if I just took the time to see for myself. 

But like I said, that's not a risk I want to take right now. I'll take that risk at a later date when I cover the other UTAU's made by this creator. I think that's fair enough. I'll be in a better place when I tackle those later articles. Or there's a chance that I won't be, but I'll still do this because I'm autistic and breaking promises kills me. 

And that's me vamping for two hundred words.

There isn't the most information on this UTAU. He's a male robot who is approximately eighteen that loves flare guns. See what I meant? I don't think I could stretch that out to two hundred words..

How is Happi Toriga's bank?

With romaji pun names, which is the family name? I think the answer is obvious if you just remember that the Wikias force Western order. But I'm just going to call him Happi because my dyslexia is acting up and I've accidentally called him Torigo several times. Besides, coaches call kids by their family name all the time. Which is awkward when your family name is just a noun. Just an old man yelling nouns. Do you think people did that nonsense to Rebecca Sugar? Just an old man calling a teen girl Sugar. Not a good look. 

This bank is a romaji encoded CV bank with hiragana aliases. The OTOs aren't great, but the fandom should learn to not bully people if they want me to fix OTOs. (Sorry Obpy. They're not horrific OTOs and they don't crash UTAU. I've seen much worse, and they don't ruin the quality of the bank.)

The "r"s are a mixed bag. If I wanted to go full American, the palatalized "r"s give me that chance. They aren't palatalized, and there is the "j" to deal with, but whatever. I have that choice. I can tell they really tried to get them right, but weren't fully given the correct information to execute. Even if it isn't perfect, I'm proud of them for trying. I think their "ro" is pretty close enough.

I think they'd rather me have them sing in the third octave and not the fourth, but the average frequency is B3. Samples fall apart going down way sooner than they fall apart going up. I compromised by making the UST off key.

I didn't really say it, but I do like this bank and I'm happy it exists. It's really nostalgic, even if it was uploaded in 2017. (woah.)
