Forgotten Friday #214 - 紅水りぜ / Guresu Rize 

Rize is a mischievous thirteen year old girl who is always very sleepy in the morning. She loves sweets, but hates eggplant. She refers to herself in the first person by using her given name. She apparently ends every sentence with desu. I don't understand why that made Mae smile.

The inn looked like a stereotypical Western saloon with some small changes. Instead of having a bar with alcohol, there was a front desk. There were still tables and some kind of instrument that vaguely resembled a piano in the corner.

Becky approached the desk. There was no one there except for the inn keeper.

"Pretty lonesome in here -" Becky forced out an awkward laugh. "Got any curses a plucky group of adventures could fix?"

The innkeeper was a tall, old man. He was thin, yet still resembled Santa Claus. "Oh, young woman!" He laughed, "No curse; just a bad location."

Becky sighed. "I figured. Have any parties come through here before?"

"Oh, they're the only ones!" He shook his head, "They show up once and never come back. That's why we require payment up front."

Becky rolled her eyes. She checked all of her pockets. Of course, they were empty. "Well, any jobs you'd accept instead of money?"

"Oh," the inn keeper laughed. "Don't you know that the golden beasts drop gold coins? They work everywhere, from coast to coast!"

"But I'm vegan!" Becky groaned. The inn keeper was obviously confused. His language obviously didn't have that word.

Vanessa nudged Becky to get her attention before signing, "Another night of sleeping outside? So we can find and kill golden beasts?"

"Yeah," Becky groaned. "Either we got our first objective, or we just have to keep going to the mountains." She leaned against the desk and addressed the inn keeper. "I'm sorry for being rude. It's just… stressful being an adventurer."

"I understand!" The inn keeper laughed. "The golden beasts are a bit farther East from here. You can leave the city from the Eastern gate and walk for a bit. You'll find them sooner than later!"

"Could you spare some coffee?" Becky slumped over and rested her head on the desk.

"Tea?" The inn keeper laughed. "Sugar is for paying customers, but you can have some tea! The kettle and bags are right behind you!"

Becky stood and smiled before turning around. She didn't go and make tea. Instead she threw herself into one of the chairs and rested her head against the table.

Vanessa sat next to her. She took Becky's hand and signed into her palm 'kettle electric'.

"Really?" Becky's voice was muffled slightly. "What kind of world is this? We show up and it's medieval. We find a town and it's Western. And now there's electricity?"

'Plugged into outlet.'

"Where does it come from, then? Did you see solar panels or something?"

'magic?'

Becky rolled her head so that she could look at Vanessa. Vanessa took the opportunity to sign "Did you sleep?"

"I don't know if we can." Becky was defeated. She felt tired. All of the time skipping was taking a toll on her. She was afraid that as soon as she decided to sleep, time would skip. "You don't need to sleep in MMORPGs, though."

Vanessa looked up at the ceiling as she tried to come up with some kind of useful answer. Suddenly, she heard a soft noise she didn't recognize immediately. When she looked back to Becky, she was asleep.

How Are Guresu Rize's banks?

First, we will look at the one pitch cv bank. It is only one pitch with an average pitch of A4. The configurations are not the best and the consonants are rather short. Some samples seem to have issues, but the voice is lovely. It doesn't sound much like a thirteen year old, and it is rather muffled. However, it is still nice.

Next, we can look at the CVVC bank. The configurations are not very good, but that isn't too difficult to fix. This bank is a huge improvement over the CV bank while still having the same voice (just better). While the voice is a bit muffled still, there seems to be less strange samples. 

Finally, we have the vcv. The configurations are finally pretty good! The average pitch is G4. While, just by microphone quality, this is the most high quality bank, the voice is very different. The previous banks felt special because they mixed a more mature tone and a more immature tone, but bank's tone is pure kawaii without many other nuances. It's still very nice, just not what I was expecting!
