Forgotten Friday #244 - 熱テキ / Netsu Teki

Teki is a thirteen year old boy who likes coffee and chocolate but hates hospitals and medicine. However, he is very sickly and takes medicine that makes him look twenty years old. He's constantly running a fever of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The art for the banks gets progressively more and more dire for the poor kid.

Daffodil smiled warmly. "Now, I don't want anyone to get bored. Even though we have more parental locks than Alcatraz..." She got one sympathy chuckle. "This is one of the only rooms in this entire complex with actual internet connectivity. If you think you don't need to be here right now, browse to your favorite typing test and get a score of sixty WPM. Once I confirm, you can play Cool Math Games until I have time to schedule you for a programming class if you want. Okay?" She saw a few kids nod their heads. "Okay. You can ignore me and get started!"

There was a flurry of keys clacking.

"Computers aren't the only technology." Daffodil looked over at the cluster of girls with perfect eyeliner (at twelve?! Daffodil was struck with a pang of jealousy when she remembered her raccoon eye makeup when she was that age.) "I have a feeling some of you are masters of video editing and finding the perfect filters." She pulled her phone out of her pocket and waved it around. "I bet you can text as quickly as you need to, but there will be times that touch screens aren't enough and you need to go even faster with more precision."

One of the girls with stunning makeup raised her hand. When Daffodil gave a quick nod, she asked, "Okay like, if I don't type fast enough, what happens?"

"It's up to you, really!" Daffodil laughed. "You have to learn to type, but you get to choose between coding or office work."

"Like..." The student slowly nodded. "Invoices?"

"Spreadsheets, PowerPoints..." Daffodil shrugged. "Things I really wish I had learned at your age!"

"Okay but like," the girl pointed at the keyboard, "What if I like, really really can't use the folio attachment?"

"Keyboard."

"That's what they're called?!" She laughed. "I thought the real ones were something different!"

"No, no," Daffodil warmly smiled. "If you really, really don't know how to use the keyboard, you'll be put into a class that will teach you the basics... Including how to use a mouse."

Another one of the girls with perfect makeup spoke up. "The thing with the tail, right?"

"Yes..." Daffodil forced herself to smile. She understood the concept of young people not needing to use computers, but even she knew what a computer mouse did as a child.

"What does it do?"

Daffodil steadied herself, though she looked happy and placid on the outside. "These computers don't have touchscreens. You move the mouse around to select things."

"Woah." The original girl with perfect eyeliner spoke up again. "Ma'am, we don't need any testing - we can't use these things if they don't have touchscreens."

"Don't worry at all!" Daffodil gave a genuine smile. "I'm here to teach you to use this technology." She felt extremely relieved that McKenzie wasn't the only child who was going to be in the remedial class. She was excited to dish with Charlotte about it later.

How are Netsu Teki's banks?

So, basically, I went over all this last week with Kaze Imo. The banks are broken and I found a way to fix them nearly automatically, BUT no one really uses the things I make, so I bailed at about 75% completion. So, I will use my converter and just makes random substitutes for samples that aren't properly converted. ... Okay, I did do a few edits just for the fun and it didn't throw any errors in Advanced Renamer. 

First is the regular, no subtitle VCV. The voice is fine, but I was so confused because I thought I was still working with Kaze Imo for a second! 

Next is the one pitch Invalidism vcv bank. I really like this one. The tone is nice and calm.

Next is the lazy VCV. It doesn't sound like a lazy voice type to me! It's nice.

Again, the CVVChinese bank is lost to time.

Agonal is the final bank - A four pitch VCV. He sounds great in this kire style bank.
