McKenzie stared at the lightbulb. "Magic!" She whispered at it. She pointed at it and again, whispered "magic!" She looked around and saw the other students struggling, though she was the only one who thought about saying something.

"Miss Suarez?"

McKenzie didn't respond to the teacher. Of course, she had been told her last name, but she hadn't heard it enough to actually remember that someone would try to address her with it.

Mrs. Mossgarten flinched. She knew McKenzie was one of Connie's girls. She hated doing it, but she knew she'd need to use her first name. "Miss McKenzie?"

McKenzie popped up from her seat and raced to the front of the classroom where Mrs. Mossgarten was using her machine to test the children.

"I'm happy you're happy," the teacher let out a soft laugh when she saw McKenzie's wide smile. She pressed the button on the machine and waited. "Huh..." She stepped back as the fog settled around McKenzie. "Miss Suarez, dear, can you think about magical things?"

McKenzie realized that she was Miss Suarez and nodded. She didn't exactly know what to think about that was magical, so she just looked down at her hands. She imagined how nice it would be if she could make food appear the way Mr. Elf did.

"Huh!" Mrs. Mossgarten nodded her head as the fog was slowly absorbed through McKenzie's skin without any area absorbing any more than any other. She noted that the extremely faint glow of the activator was at the base of McKenzie's neck. "That's enough, Miss Suarez."

McKenzie looked down at her hands and sighed. She really was hoping that there would be food there, but then again, she knew she was brand new to magic.

"You have Indigenous heritage." Mrs. Mossgarten was amused. "Of course, your activator shows that there is also European heritage." When she saw McKenzie's wide, confused eyes, she elaborated. "Everyone's portals are different, but when people have stuff in common, their portals are more similar. Yours is all over your body, not just in one spot. But, your activator is in just one spot. Your portal is consistent with the..." She paused. She knew that one of Connie's girls wouldn't know big words like indigenous, but she also knew that she had been forced to sit through multiple cultural sensitivity training lectures. She finally figured it out. "Some of your ancestors were the first people in America!"

"Wow!" McKenzie gasped. She paused. "Aliyah said that Miss Constance maybe put a whitening spell on me. Were the first people in America not white?"

Mrs. Mossgarten lost her composure and laughed as she gently patted McKenzie on the head. "Miss Suarez, one of the things I've learned as an old white lady in modern America is to just never speak on race." She pulled her hand away and shrugged. "I don't want to say the wrong thing, but Miss Azan will definitely tell you the right thing when you ask her that question."

"Oh!" McKenzie nodded. "You don't know... Okay!"

How are Mirine Mon's banks?

Mon has three banks that I know of. First is her regular CV bank. By my rules, I'm actually not supposed to be covering her now, but my new rules are more fun. She's from 2010! So, she has 2010 OTOs. She has a lovely and nostalgic voice.

Next is her VCV. It is sadly a lite vcv. From the lens of someone in early 2010, she is amazing and stunning.

Finally, we have her whisper CV. It was apparently recorded in 2013! Her voice is very pretty.
