so, I tried to make a German tester UST!
Wiki Wednesday #244 - zimtroeschen's Theresa
Theresa is a mysterious woman who is probably a young adult.

The Jeff VHS, part 3
"No way." I mumbled to myself as I looked at all of the information the AI had spat out. The footage in the file was estimated to be from the same type of tapes that Booples had brought with him. The degradation was consistent with a very well preserved tape from that era.
I opened the video and... It was just two girls talking. I made the window smaller so that the details were less of a blur. I couldn't make out their speech until one of them nearly shouted "oh hi Jeff!"
The camera panned quickly. The walls were blown out, but there was a doorway that looked black from the compression with a white blur with... I gasped.
I wouldn't say it was Jeff the Killer. I'm a grown man - I know that Jeff the Killer was a fictional character. But it was someone pretending to be Jeff the Killer at the very minimum.
I didn't bother to do any of my manual debunking. There was nothing I could actually debunk - it was all bloom and lost data.
I looked over at my tape reader. It would be a bit - the AI had to take careful photographs of every bit of the tape with different cameras, slowly and carefully moving it forward to not risk damage to the fragile ribbons.
I went back to my living room and sat in the recliner. Part of me thought that Booples would have jumped up and faded into the night, but he was peacefully sleeping.
I couldn't blame him, actually. He was always off, and I do think he actually did believe there were real videos out there. If I believed that Slenderman was real, I wouldn't sleep for a week if I saw video proof of him that I couldn't disprove.
But this wasn't Slenderman. It was Jeff the Killer. Even if the tape was real and it wasn't an actor wearing a mask, the guy would be dead by now. There were people getting worse body mods for fun by now anyway. I sighed once I noticed the box of tapes. It was nearly overflowing, and there's no way that someone would hand over a perfectly curated collection of found media. There were probably hours of random family nonsense - it probably wasn't bootleg cartoons if it was on camcorder tapes. Just home videos that we'd need to scrub through.
I took the box of tapes and went back to my computer. I guess I was just going to babysit the machine until Booples woke up. I played some games on my phone until I heard the finished notification on the machine. I felt like it would be unfair for me to be the first person to see the videos, so I uploaded the contents of the tape to the company server and sent Booples a text to say that I would be uploading them as they finish processing. He was still asleep.
How are Theresa's banks?
Just when I was thinking it was smooth sailing with just one bank per article... BAM! many non Japanese banks.
NOTE: after finishing the article, I found out that there is a beta, multi expression, multipitch German CVCV 2.0 bank with a wonderful voice and more complete phoneme inventory available from the German CVCV website. It's a very, very good bank. CVCV 2 is a huge improvement over the original system and is the best place to start if you want to record and use German.
Okay, German Crystal CVCV was the first I downloaded and it didn't come with a pronunciation guide... So I just picked vowels at random. I cannot make a judgment on the bank because I don't know German, but it is a nice two expression bank.
Contralto is another German CVCV bank. This one has a pronunciation guide, which I will proceed to ignore. This bank has three pitches. I really like the high pitch!
Next Is Bluemoon mostly English Multipitch CVVC. I made a new tester UST for English! And uh... I don't know this phoneme system. Oh! It's mostly what I'm used to! ... Is there no CC??!
I give up two seconds in to changing the note names. The voice is very nice, but I honestly can't find any CC, which is important for English. The otos are a bit wonky, but I've got more banks to look at!
The next banks are all outdated, so I'll take them less seriously.
Contralto Is also the name of her old German CV Bank. Me trying to use CV for anything other than Japanese goes poorly, so here she is singing Japanese! She Sounds great!
Contralto is also the name of her German act 2 with English Support. I... Don't know how to make it make the sound "n" at the end of the note. She has a really pretty voice!
Next is a CV French Bank. You know what I'm going to do! Make her sing Japanese. She still has a very nice voice!
The act 1 CVVC claims it works for many different languages. Without a listing of what each vowel is, then I have no way of evaluating that statement. The otos be wonky, but I know that this is an outdated bank. She has a very nice voice.
Now listen to her try to sing Thai!
Finally, we have her Act 1 CV-VV. There is a beta bank with demos up at the time of writing, but the link has not been put on the wiki at the time of writing.
This uses the Akialist, though I don't know what that is. Her voice is nice. I lose my toucans the moment I think about using CV English... So Japanese it is!
Where Can I Download Theresa?
You can download her from her wiki page! She is very cool. If you are interested in learning about or wanting to help with German CVCV, then you can check out the official site of the method.
