A New Vampire, part 2

I wracked my brain for what a vampire was. I looked up at the ceiling. Vampire bats ate blood. But what were vampires themselves? I did get a strange feeling that they were some kind of fictional thing and he had to be joking.

I heard his voice. "I know it's hard to process... But it's not as hard as you think it will be. We can go outside during the day if we need too, and the Fae have whipped us up some blood replacements..."

My chin jerked down, again, too quickly as I opened my eyes. "We're like bats?"

"Yes." He didn't elaborate because he knew he didn't need to. 'We're like bats' was as much as I needed to understand.

"Is this a hospital?" I realized it was a bit of a redundant question as I saw the monitors and IV stands out of the corner of my eye.

"Yes." He slowly stood from his chair. "We should get out of this room and to the basement. Want me to help you up? It's probably been a week since you've stood up."

I nodded. He very politely came to my side and helped me out of the bed.

The floor wasn't cold on my feet. It didn't feel like much of anything. I felt pressure, and that was mostly it. Once I was out of the bed, he didn't touch me. He simply guided me through halls and stairways.

The hospital was abandoned as far as I could tell. It looked like there had been struggles that threw papers onto the ground and toppled carts over. It was still too bright.

Finally, we were standing at a door. He had to put effort into prying it open, but I quickly followed him through and down stairs once it was open.

As the door closed behind us, it was finally dim enough that my head didn't hurt from the light itself.

Once we were at the bottom of the stairs, he turned to me. He looked me up and down in my oversized hospital gown. "Look, you're about to meet other vampires. The situation has been really bad, so we're all on edge. If they're rude to you, it's not because of you. It's because of the situation."

Once I nodded, he opened the door for me.

I took a deep breath and walked into the room. It was dim and there were people sitting at tables. Their skin seemed to glow in the low light. Not all of them were marble white - but they still all glowed. I wanted to announce I was there, but I didn't want to disrupt them. Though... Perhaps the doors opening and closing should have alerted them.

The man who had brought me down ushered me towards a chair and I sat down. Across from me was a woman with skin that was a nice beige. She looked up and smiled at me.

How is Iyun Cera's bank?

The way the bank is described on the wiki isn't fully correct. The bank is two six pitch VCV appends: Clear and whisper. I'll demo both appends separately.

The OTOs were made using moresampler, which means getting the best results will require remaking the oto sadly. The voice of the clear append is nice and sounds like a very popular kind of voice.

I prefer the whisper bank because I always like softer banks more. The voice ts very nice.
