A New Vampire, part 8

"You scared us." Rosie nervously laughed. "It's really rare for a vampire to pass out like that."

"Not impossible," Reese squeezed my hand. "Vampires can be afflicted with human mental conditions. If you had a seizure disorder as a human, you could have one as a vampire."

"And, you know," Wilbur cleared his throat.

"Why do you do that?" I looked at him. "Why do you make that noise?"

He was shocked. Once that wore off, he laughed. "You're right. There's nothing in my throat to clear. I use it for punctuation. We all do things we learned as humans. Though, you may not be able to considering..."

I took a deep breath.

"Or, you will!" Rosie laughed. "We don't need to breathe, Gal. Sometimes we do because it feels nice, but we don't need to breathe."

I nodded. I looked around our little compartment. The walls that weren't covered with black fabric were a deep red wood. I didn't know what to say or ask.

"So," Reese softly clapped her hands. "We feel responsible for you. There's plenty of places you can go, but we're going to bring you up to Alaska with us."

I looked back at her. "I'm sorry, I..."

She quickly nodded. "Right, of course you don't remember much." She looked up at the ceiling for a moment.

"I'll cut to the chase -" Wilbur chuckled. "When you're at the top of the world or the bottom of the world, you can have very long days and very long nights. Alaska is one of those places. We go high enough, and we can spend the entire Winter in polar twilight."

"We could go to the South Pole in the Summer." Rosie mused. "Even longer nights, but nothing to do and no way out... Until it's daytime again, at least."

"Some people go down to Antarctica," Reese nodded as she looked towards me. "And some just deal with the sunburn and live in normal places. It just depends on what they like."

"I've done both." Wilbur sighed wistfully. "Been here so long, I've tried it all. From sitting in a dark room without moving to working the coal mines down in Virginia. That's the great thing about not dying - you never need to worry about making the wrong choices and wasting your life."

Reese noticed I looked confused and uncomfortable. "You don't have to worry about any of that right now. Once we get off this train, we've got a week long boat ride to a three day train ride."

"We've got plenty of time to live..." Wilbur laughed. "We can't get you on a plane without any documentation."

Rosie cut me off when I opened my mouth to apologize. "We were always going to do it like this, Gal. If we wanted to, we could get forged documents. We're all old and appreciate the journey."

I nodded. They all looked so young, but then again, they obviously were vampires.

How are Akayume Toushi's banks?

Toushi has four acts. 

Act 1 is a one pitch cv. I don't like flags, but I'm using them because the voice provider asks for flags to be used. The voice is nice!

Act 2 is another one pitch cv. The voice is very nice and feels more confident than act 1!

Act 3 is another one pitch cv. The voice is very nice! The bank feels more polished.

Finally, we have Act 4. It is another one pitch cv bank. The voice is very nice!
