one saving grace of this blog is that doing two articles gives me half a month to procrastinate.
Wiki Wednesday #302 - Karnia Joy's iNA
Who is iNA?

"So..." I was sitting in the chair in what I thought was the coolest way possible with my legs hanging over the arm rest. "Barcelona... Cows."
Barcelona looked up at me. She was confused. "Trina... What?"
I pulled out my phone and pulled up a video compilation of calves being adorable and turned my phone towards her.
Her eyes lit up and she genuinely smiled as she took in just how adorable the creatures were. As I pulled away my phone, she asked, "So... Those are cows?"
"Yeah." I nodded as I slipped my phone into my pocket. "What are you guys going to do about them?"
"Well..." She looked confused. "Why would we do anything about those cute little things?"
"They're like..." I shrugged. "Horrific for the environment."
"Oh, they're like those..." She tried to find the word, but she gave up. "Those tiny horses that give people those nasty diseases?"
It took a moment, but I understood she meant deer. "Oh, no, they just produce a lot of methane."
She paused. She turned to her computer and typed for a bit before gasping. "You EAT them?!"
I nodded.
She shook her head. "It's not like I came from some perfect vegan commune. Herbivores convert inedible grass into edible protein. But..." She turned back towards me. "We didn't eat cute things. We made sure our food was ugly."
"Don't look up piglets or goats!" I started to laugh at my own joke until I saw her turning back to her computer and typing.
"What is wrong with you people!" Barcelona gasped. "These are so cute! Pardon my dated reference, but they are shaped like friends!"
I shrugged. "I mean, still, what about cows?"
She shook her head and pushed herself away from her desk. She looked at me. "Let me guess: if we take away cow meat, there will be riots in the streets?"
"Kinda." I sighed. "I was thinking, would you guys just take cows away? Or would it be some thing where you can only raise them on a homestead?"
"That seems reasonable." Barcelona hummed a bit as she looked away from me towards the wall. "I know how stubborn humans are now. The people making these decisions know that even better by now. They would need to let humans keep the cornerstones of their culture, huh?"
(editor's note: I had a lot of really cool ideas for this setting and I really like Trina as a character, but I've switched personalities and I have ideas I like more! So I'm going to end this little setting here because honestly, Trina was just going to become a total Mary Sue learning about alien cultures with not much interesting stuff happening outside of the actual world building. I'm for some reason acutely aware of the fact that I am writing very long sentences and I don't know if it's correct or incorrect. Definitely, I need to hold off from writing as this personality... Because I'm probably not great at it!)
