"Hey!" Hilda shouted out as the passenger door of her car threw itself open. 

Kyle couldn't think. He was covered in dye and the bag he was holding was screaming out at him. Then the screaming stopped. He felt no choice but to jump into the car and pull the door shut behind him. 

Then Hilda calmly started to drive away. 

"Why aren't you flooring it?! The cops..." Kyle looked back. They weren't being followed. 

"So, Kyle." Hilda sighed. "A bank robbery? Really?"

"How did you know my name?!" Kyle recoiled as much as he could in his seat. 

"Look, Kyle." Hilda kept her eyes on the road. "That wasn't a normal bank. It's a credit union that's pretty exclusive."

Kyle was confused. 

"You couldn't get much. Really, a modern bank robbery is just ridiculous. Most of the money is just numbers in a cloud." She shook her head. "And I know you couldn't get into the lock boxes where anything valuable is."

"What... Why are you saying this?" Kyle was confused. 

"I'll let it slide." Hilda laughed. "I'll just say the guy got away. But seriously." She pulled into a parking lot. "What were you thinking?"

Kyle looked out the window. "I..."

"You're pretty unintelligent, aren't you?" Hilda sighed. "You just wanted money. You didn't have a sick relative. You weren't trying to pay for university. You just wanted to hold more than two hundred dollars at one time."

"How did you know?!" Kyle was getting more and more scared.

"That credit union? Every member is a witch." She rolled her eyes. "You stole from witches, Kyle."

"I don't want to be a frog!" Kyle cried out. 

"Oh, hush!" Hilda laughed. "I wouldn't do that. But if you don't want me to drive you to the police station, I will need something from you. It pays better than bank robberies ever would."

"You'd... Give me money for stealing from you?"

"Us witches, we can't turn off the magic." She hummed a bit. "And the places we really want to break into? They have magic detectors." She laughed softly. "We'd just want some help. You know, go into a club and eavesdrop. Put a potion in a drink. Easy stuff."

"I don't have a choice." Kyle felt like he was going to be sick. 

"Everyone has a choice." Hilda laughed more loudly. "It's just, yours are going to jail or having a paying job. It's really up to you."

"What if I get caught? Putting potions in drinks is illegal!"

"That's the fun of it, Kyle." Hilda smiled. "Sometimes you'll know you're safe. Sometimes you'll be in danger. But we'll always stop the police from putting a hand on you."

"I'll do it." Kyle nodded. "I don't want to go back to jail."

"Don't forget the money." Hilda smirked. "You'll be able to get Denny's every day for the rest of your life."

"Forget Denny's!" Kyle looked excited. "I'll be going to..." He paused. "I don't know where, but it will be fancy!"
