Forgotten Friday #369 - Yukiko Shirahana / 白花ユキコ

Yukiko is a fifteen year old girl who likes chocolates. She is from Venezuela.

Heath didn't know much about children. But Aruan wasn't like any children he had interacted with. She was quiet and stared off at nothing. 

He had gotten help using the equipment that was resistant to the acid in her mouth.

"So..." Dr. Auoa looked back at Heath as the translator translated her words. "What's the plan?"

Heath shook his head. "What's the problem? I don't understand your anatomy."

Dr. Auoa laughed. "Right. It seems simple to me." The translated voice was dripping with condescion. She was supposed to be the nicest doctor in the county. She shrugged. "Here's the condensed version. Our stomachs are very different from yours. Our stomachs cannot handle chunks of food. Swallowing chunks of food that our stomachs cannot digest can make us very sick. We have no teeth." She tilted her head back and pointed at the top of her mouth. There were strange ridges. "We grind our food against this plate." She lowered her chin. "Aruan's tongue was malformed. It cannot reach her plate. She can't eat solid foods."

"What is the issue with eating only liquids?" Heath glanced back at Aruan. He didn't like the way Dr. Auoa was speaking about her in front of her. 

She shrugged. "We just don't feel like it."

"Would you..." Heath took a deep breath. "Let this sweet little girl starve to death?"

The doctor laughed. "What answer do you expect?"

Heath did not answer. He did not want to know the answer. 

"I heard you adopted the kid." She shrugged. "So... I guess if she starves to death, you go to jail."

He stared blankly at her. How do you respond to that?!

There was an extremely awkward silence. 

"Anyway." The doctor shook her head. "You will be living in an office we put a bed into. She will be staying in a room in the hospital. The cost of the office and the hospital room will be charged to the Union. I don't know how much money they want to spend on this... So hurry if you care about money I guess."

"Why are you all so evil?" Heath wasn't even angry at this point. Just confused. 

The doctor laughed. "Evil? That's fun." She shrugged. "Why is it evil to see society as a collection of cogs inside of a watch?" There was a pause and then she laughed harder. "Really, you Union people. Aren't you going to tell me a story about someone with no arms or legs who cured some kind of cancer? Won some kind of sport?"

Heath groaned. "Really?"

The doctor stopped. She was somewhat shocked. "Oh? It's not story time?"

"There shouldn't need to be a story, Doctor." Heath shook his head. "Everyone is worthy of a chance at life. Everyone." Her looked back at Aruan. "Is there a single thing wrong with her other than her mouth?"

"Clinically?" She chuckled. "Clinically she looks fine other than her mouth. But really?" She lowered her chin again. "Does that matter?"

How are Yukiko Shirahana's banks?

Yukiko only has two avaliable banks. Both are one pitch banks but Act 3 comes with some VCV. She also has samples for Spanish in her Act 4 bank.

Princess_tamer01 called the included VCV in Act 3 a fail. This is simply because the OTO file is very wonky. But that is to be expected. This bank is from 2011! 

Anyway! Her VCV is absolutely lovely. The only possible complaint is that it is sadly lite vcv.

Act 4 is only CV. Her voice is still nice!
