Wiki Wednesday #22 - Rumi Osone / 遅音ルミ
I've been getting a little personal in my introductions lately. But sometimes, it's a little hard to avoid. You morally have to hit a certain word count, and there's not really a deep story behind most one pitch, (seemingly) one-and-done UTAUs.
Osone Rumi's voice provider, MURI, had posted three videos within the span of a month and vanished. Her dA is equally as sparse. But, at least I have learned that both MURI and Ru... MU-RI, RU-MI... huh! Neat! Both Muri and Rumi are women from Switzerland. I left a comment on Rumi's info sheet because I just really like this UTAU.
Who is Osone Rumi?

Osone Rumi is a woman of unknown age who originally resided in Switzerland.
Her personality is just a personification of trying to establish yourself in a new niche when you are further along in life than the people around you. She hates phone calls and confrontation and can only sing her feelings. She loves all living creatures and she loves drawing them too.
This UTAU is out for my heart. The design, the character description, and the voice all just make me feel warm and fuzzy.
How is the bank?
It is MURI's first bank. Or, at least, her first released one. Yeah, it's not perfect. Unless you've got some major players standing beside you slapping your wrist if you diphthongize your vowels, you're not going to make a perfect first bank.
The amount of errors I've encountered are so minute they're not even worth bringing up on their own. I'm numb after years of scraping the UTAU Wikia for unknown UTAUs long ago when unknown actually meant there was a reason they was unknown as opposed to the saturation of banks pushing really good UTAUs into obscurity.
Part of me feels like if Rumi was released earlier, she would have been a major player. But then I remember the absolute wars in the fandom and how how they heck did you guys make it worse?!? It has calmed down now, though the community became a fandom and stratified in the process.
This is the perfect time to just make an UTAU or your own personal music and be happy with it only existing for your personal music. MURI strikes me as that kind of person, so I'm glad she waited until she wouldn't get dragged into a faction.
Oh, which section is this? Yeah, if you're a regular reader, you just have to hear the voice to know why I love it so much. It's that kind of young, kind of mature, soft voice that gets to me.

There's no telling what's in the future for Rumi and Muri. I'd love for Rumi to have more banks, but that's all up to Muri.
