"Aliyah, can you explain The Great Recession for everyone?" Mr. Sig smiled as he awkwardly pointed at her doing finger guns.

"I can't explain it well, but..." Aliyah sighed. "The economy went bad, and a lot of people who had money stopped having money. And many of those people continued to not have money."

"Oh, wow..." One of the boys in the class spoke up. "I remember - that's why I grew up in the containment zone. My parents were very rich until they lost almost everything. They couldn't even get jobs at McDonald's because they were 'overqualified'."

"There's always going to be a place for all of you in the containment zone." Mr. Sig nodded. "But, realistically, how many of you would rather be poor out there than comfortable here?"

A few hands enthusiastically shot up in the air, including Aliyah's.

"We will go over all of the basics," Mr. Sig let his hands fall to the side of his body. (He was proud of how awkward he was being.) "Cooking, cleaning, taxes... And answering questions like, is it better to rent or own?"

"Are we going to learn to drive?" Stellaris's eyes were wide. She relied entirely on ride share apps when she was in Los Angeles, and it was really annoying to have to deal with.

"Well," Mr. Sig held up his hands in an exaggerated shrug. "Like most of you, I've never actually tried to drive. I can't teach it, but I can bother President Penn to hire a driving instructor if all of you tell her how much you love this class and learning about how to navigate life out there."

There was a clicking noise that came from the intercom system. A voice called out, "Aliyah Azan, please report to Principal Penn's office for your scheduled meeting."

There were curious murmurs as Aliyah stood. She held up her hands, "I'm going to do a Zoom meeting about race stuff."

The class was quiet, trying to figure out what she meant as she left the room.

She raced through the halls as quickly as she could without running. Though, who was going to stop her if she was running? She didn't want to look disheveled, but she wanted to respect the time of the academic who was willing to speak to a high school girl on such short notice.

When she saw Principal Penn's office's open door, she darted in and threw down her backpack. "Am I late?"

Charlotte looked up from her desk and looked over at the clock on her wall. "A little early, but you can-"

"Do you mind if I sit at your desk?"

Charlotte nodded and stood before gesturing at her empty chair.

There were other ways that Aliyah could have had the meeting, but this was just the easiest. While Aliyah was able to set up the meeting using the BBS system for witches, that BBS system did not support audio visual calls by any stretch of the imagination.

How are Makimiya Kaede's banks?

FINE, I'll use flags! I don't like the gender flag. They sound better than they did in the beginning, though. The flags used to be really rough.

Her first bank, ver 1.2 is a lite VCV. She has a nice voice. I think the voice is prettier without flags, though.

Version 2 is another lite VCV. Her voice without flags is so pretty! So I lowered the flag to g-10 instead of just being obstinate. Her voice is nice.
