Aliyah snapped out of her sadness. She needed to focus on McKenzie. "The reason I started doing research is because she's extremely powerful, but she doesn't... Exactly do the right thing." She paused, but she continued when she saw Ms. Balam nodding. "I wanted to test the fireball mimicking exercise, but instead of fire, she made cotton candy."

"What?!" Ms. Balam's jaw dropped. She was generally unflappable, but hearing about a child making matter out of nothing was rare.

"Even stranger, I tried to help her just use magic at all, and she just... Summoned a piece of felt." Aliyah nodded, her eyes wide.

"You can't know exactly if it was summoned or created," Ms. Balam looked away from the screen. "But she's twelve."

Aliyah didn't mention that McKenzie was only using a fraction of her possible power, because that would be even more concerning. "What do you think could be the issue?"

Ms. Balam looked back to the screen. "The first is simple: magic is overwhelming at first. I work in the normal human world primarily, but I have been involved with cases in the magical legal system involving children younger than Ms. Suarez using their magic inappropriately." She sighed. "They generally grow into their powers. The other option would be something along the lines of a neurological or developmental disorder."

"So... Autism?" Aliyah didn't know why storm autism didn't occur to her at any point.

"Or ADHD." Ms. Balam shrugged. "I'm not an expert, but you would definitely want to get a therapist involved to rule out any treatable medical issues just to be safe."

"Of course - I'm sorry for wasting your time..." Aliyah looked down at the desk.

"Oh no, Ms. Azan!" Ms. Balam waved her hands in front of her to signify that she disagreed with Aliyah's statement. "Would it be appropriate for me to ask you to keep me updated over the BBS and to schedule a call if any major developments happen?"

Aliyah looked back to the screen, somewhat confused.

"You came to me because I'm an expert in magic within indigenous communities in Latin America," Ms. Balam explained, "but my main focus in university before I changed to law was the typical magic seen in Eurasia. A case of a twelve year old that makes cotton candy appear instead of a fireball is the kind of case my former colleagues would write their entire thesis about. If you allow me, I will be very invested in this situation."

Aliyah smiled brightly. "Of course, Ms. Balam. I will make sure to keep you in the loop about Ms. Suarez."

"Thank you, I hope you have a good rest of your day."

"You too." Aliyah took a deep breath as soon as the call ended. She looked up at Charlotte, who seemed a bit afraid.

"I didn't know how..." Charlotte stammered. "Is she safe? I know she has a suppressor right now, but do we need to like... Make that keep happening?"

How Are Sakumo's banks?

Sakumo has a four pitch Power VCV and a three pitch normal vcv. Merge is just a combination of normal and power.

The power bank is perhaps less powerful than I was expecting, but has a very nice voice like a more reserved Hibiki Shinji Creamy.
