Forgotten Friday #300 - 星牙コウ / Seiga Kou
Kou is a fifteen year old tiger man who likes bitter chocolate.

This story takes place in a dimension without any magic with mostly modern (2020s) technology. However, as you'll see, a tiny bit of magic was introduced!
It was more or less a normal day. It was Jim's day off, so he was still in bed at eight AM. Then, there was a shockwave. It didn't disturb any things, but people were nearly knocked off of their feet.
Jim's wife ran up to their room to see if Jim was alright. And that's when she saw the creature. Jim's wife, Mary, stared in shock at the thing in her bed. She knew the creature was breathing because what must have been her chest was rising and falling. She left the room and pulled her phone from the pocket of her robe. She stared at it. Then the notifications started popping up.
"What is this thing?!"
"My wife became a llama!!"
"Uh guys... My toddler had a growth spurt."
There weren't too many posts, but they were being shared and liked at record speed. And the images were of creatures like the one on her bed.
Mary carefully inspected each one. They were like strange llamas, as one of the people said. And they all looked like they were in pain. She didn't know what to do, so she went back into her room and sat down on her bed. She placed her hand on the creature. Maybe it was Jim. He became a strange llama. That had to be it!
She slowly rubbed the fur. It was strange. She had been to many petting zoos and beasts of burden usually had fur that was rough to the touch. This fur felt more like a rabbit or a chinchilla. It was also fantastical. A deep, almost orange, red and purple mottled together. It wouldn't be fair to call the creature a strange llama. The creature seemed more like a giant cat with a long neck. She leaned back and saw the giant "toe beans" on the bottom of the creatures paws. The face of the creature was harder to describe. It was some kind of mix of human, kitten, and dragon.
"Jim?" Mary finally spoke. "Is that you, Jim?"
The creature stirred. The creature opened their eyes and slowly looked back at Mary. And then the creature screamed out in terror. The creature began speaking, but it was in a language that Mary had never heard before (and she was rather cultured).
The creature tried to sit up, but they let out a cry of pain and laid their head back down. Just like a human would, the creature began to cry out tears that somehow slid down their fur and onto the pillow.
Mary shook her head. She had no real proof, but she knew that this wasn't Jim. Jim would surely speak English and be comforted by her. Mary stood and left the room. The creature was sobbing just loudly enough for Mary to hear it in the hallway.
