Well! If I did my math right, I think this means I have 52 500 blocks of words after this one is finished. That means that aside from maybe a week or two at the end, 2025 will be completely covered!
What have I learned? Well, when I'm in a certain mindset, I can just write 11,000 words in two days. Just unfiltered words for the sake of words, but still words.
I wrote all of this in a novel app on my phone. I thought I could never type as fast on my phone as on a keyboard. But I'm starting to suspect that I'm actually a slow typist. I mean, I was faster than everyone at school and I'm sure I'm faster than most of the next generation who didn't grow up with typing class every week. My skills have atrophied with actual keyboards, so there's a chance I actually am faster on my phone. I mean, I use swipe to type. Each word more or less takes two taps of my phone screen unless I really mess up my spelling.
I have no idea how long it will take me to get all of these articles posted. It depends on how I'm feeling. I think I can get like ten articles done in a day if I'm just insisting on only looking at UTAUs with just one CV bank. If I was hardworking and consistent, then I think it would be safe to say I could be finished within two months. And there's a chance I push this out and procrastinate and I'll be processing all of the stuff for this particular article in December of 2025!
I want to try this again with my fictional stories for the other feature. That one will need to be more coherent and I doubt that I would even be able to imagine putting down ten thousand words in two days.
I'm excited about being able to do a huge binge of work. Especially for this feature! I have fallen out of love with UTAU. I am a Diffsinger girl. Except for one thing... Finding an utau that only five other people have ever heard of and showing them off to everyone.
Even if I never make another UTAU cover, I'll love the concept of UTAU and I will continue this blog for as long as possible. I'm really looking forward to 2028. I probably won't do anything special for it, but at that point, I will have used over a thousand UTAUs! That's a super cool and amazing thing! I could do that divorced from this blog, but that doesn't feel like it has much weight behind it at all. (How long would a medley have to be to fit 1,000 voices?)
So... I am just excited again. I was really bummed out, but now I'm happy. I can just steamroll the hardest part when it's necessary. I thought I wouldn't be able to at all!
How Is Ayano Koe's bank?
This UTAU is under two megabytes. Wow! The size on disk is over two, but still!
So there are a Bunch of 3gp files and no oto file. So... The samples have a sample rate of 8000.
The samples sound great but... UTAU says no. So I just converted the samples to a higher sample rate. Koe's voice is muffled but adorable!
Now... Here's what she sounded like to the people who made her if they were using OG UTAU.
Where Can I Download Koe Ayano?
You can find her on her wiki page! I really like her voice when it has the correct sample rate.
