This has little meaning, but I started a new scene in my novel writing app for this. I'm thinking, if I get to 5,000 words in this section, I'll actually be good! I'll be ready to push everything through!

Let me tell you about Pillsbury canned biscuits. My grandma grew up on a farm with a very traditional Southern mother. There were only one kind of biscuits. No sugar or anything. Just fat, liquid, and flour. They had that biscuit taste and were dry. I mean, why would you put gravy on something that didn't need help being swallowed?

Every time I got a chance to eat a Pillsbury biscuit, I jumped on it. I feel like at least one person will agree that those are not biscuits. Those are magical cake discs. It was pretty rare that I got them.

Well, it turns out, several varieties of those tubes are actually vegan! They have a warning that they may have come into contact with dairy, but I'm bite-proof. (I can eat a small amount of my allergens without needing any medical help other than Benadryl but I will get a nasty fibro flare.)

If the tubes were just good for biscuits, it would be whatever. I don't need biscuits. But did you know you can make absolutely stunning cinnamon rolls with them?!

Yeah, they make tubes of cinnamon rolls, but I'm pretty sure those have milk in them. Besides, my mom is really allergic to cinnamon and I never want to make stuff that she can't eat! 

So we made cinnamon free pumpkin spice rolls. Let me tell you! You just roll the things out, put on the filling, then roll them up and put them in a pan. It was so insanely good. It was like Cinnabon. I was in love!

You know what else you can make with them? Deformed hand pies. They look funny, but hey, it works! 

I wish that I could eat those things every day. But I can't do that because that wouldn't be very healthy! 

It's really fun to find shortcuts when it comes to cooking. What's crazy is that when you hear shortcut, you usually assume that the end product will be worse than the version with no shortcuts.

Nope. You just can't make biscuits as good as those Pillsbury biscuits at home. I've learned that there's so many flavors and preservatives in boxed cake mix, you just can't make that at home. You can make a from scratch cake and it can be great, but it won't be as delicate and deliciously processed as the stuff from the box. Though, I do have a life hack... Cake batter imitation flavoring. That can turn a simple mug cake from meh to yeah!

I wish I could just eat everything all the time and never stop. There's so much delicious food out there! But even if all food was zero calories... I can't find a good egg substitute for boxed cake mix!
