depression is hard, so my words are pretty bad. Perhaps, the fact that my Internet was so bad previously, was the fact that the reason that the text to speech did not work. So, maybe I can use text to speech now. ( note: I confuse text to speech and speech to text. it didn't work well.)
Wiki Wednesday #222 - Yumiko Ume / 梅由美子
Ume is a fourteen year old girl with an adorable design. She loves food, books, hot chocolate, and cold weather. She dislikes hot weather. She is calm, but can be grumpy.

Again, it is fictional Ouura.
Life was pain. At least, it felt that way when I tried to force myself to speak. My temporary nasal cavity kept falling just slightly out of place and pinching me. The new teeth drilled into my newly augmented jaw hurt with every movement.
So, I was entirely thrilled when they introduced me to my speech therapist. Of course, I had to walk from my hospital room to her office as physical therapy. My body below my neck was fine. A little weak, but fine. However, every movement of my head just jostled all of the new nonsense in my mouth.
"Huh."
That was the first thing I ever heard her say. I couldn't blame her. They were still stumped on how to give me the best nose possible, so my nasal cavity was just a metal box with two tubes coming out of it for nostrils. I had no lips, because they still didn't know how to make them. If they were made of normal skin tattooed pink, they would constantly be blistered and painful. If they were made of the skin from inside my mouth, they'd blister the skin around them. Their best guess at the moment was to make them out of tongue skin.
She nervously laughed. "They didn't tell me that you didn't have lips."
I looked down at my phone. I was much more lucid, but more frustrated. I understood the importance of lips. I opened my text to speech app. "Do I get to leave?"
She shook her head. She told me that there were still exercises that we could do to make me more confident in my speech once they did add my top teeth and lips.
I just stared at her. I used my phone to ask if she had ever had holes drilled into her skull and filled with metal that had barbs to help everything stay in the correct place. She shook her head. I followed up by just stating that it really hurt.
She tutted. She asked me if I could comfortably hold my mouth open if I didn't move anything other than my tongue. I caught on. "I like the cut of your jib, lady."
She laughed. She explained that people move their jaw up or down to make different vowels. I couldn't help it in that moment. I almost bent over laughing until my rigid feeding tube stopped me and banged against my jaw. I sat back up straight and tried not to cry from the pain. I mumbled out without moving my jaw "I ah Aaiiu." You can't say 'm' without lips.
"Oh, wow." She forcefully blinked a few times.
"Yeah." I stared at her. "I yo how to sheek English."
"Where is your accent? You obviously have an impediment, but…"
"I guess I leht it on Adia Luna."
"Huh." She looked down at her desk. Something clicked. She looked up at me and asked if I knew Minha Luna.
"Yes - she's ay sister." I paused before adding: "A dotted."
My tongue was getting tired, so I switched back to my phone. "Why does everyone assume I can't speak English? I have been taught it for all long as I can remember."
"Well…" She shifted her weight a bit. "This planet is just like that."
How are Ume Yumiko's banks?
Yumiko has an act 1 and an act 2 one pitch CV romaji encoded banks.
Act 1 has me shook because the OTOs aren't perfect, but they're good for so early in the fandom. Her voice is absolutely adorable. The voice is feminine and youthful without being shrill.
The act 2 oto has the same mistakes as the act 2 that would come from reading the waveform and not the spectrogram. The act 2 voice is the type I prefer between the two. It is less cute and more mature and calm.
