Forgotten Friday #247 - 都黎 / gehogehho Tsurei

Tsurei is an eight year old psych patient at a hospital. He likes candy.

"You really did that?!" Stellaris covered her mouth with the back of her hand. "I knew you were good. But already doing medical spells at sixteen?"

"I fell and my hand was bleeding." McKenzie looked closely at her hand. There were small abrasions she hadn't noticed earlier. She held it out for Stellaris to inspect.

Stellaris took her hand and gently touched the mostly healed wounds. "Wow, Lili... What else can you do?"

"Well..." Aliyah sighed as she sat on her bed. "I've been trying to practice counterfeiting money. There's a few vending machines on campus that I can fool, but the school would flip if they got caught up in some counterfeiting scheme. Once a machine accepts a dollar, I get my snacks and bounce."

"Girl, Lili..." Stellaris squeezed McKenzie's hand as she made eye contact with Aliyah, "You don't need to do that stuff - you have me and the girls."

"Oh!" Aliyah laughed. "I have President Penn also! I don't need to commit a felony, I just want to see why we don't just like... Commit felonies. It's actually really hard!"

"I grew up being told that magic can't just make new money." Stellaris noticed McKenzie winching, so she gently patted her hand and let go.

"Technically, kind of." Aliyah slouched. "If you use two bills with the same serial number, it doesn't matter how perfect it is. And I only know how to duplicate, not synthesize. And it's all digital now, anyway."

"But you won't commit more crimes, right Aliyah? Crimes are bad." McKenzie's face was contorted into the most adorably pathetic expression possible.

"Of course!" Aliyah nodded. "I just wanted to know, and now I do."

"Okay, Lili, humor me." Stellaris placed her hands on her knees. "Do you know the old surgical spells?"

"I thought we didn't have surgeries." McKenzie was confused.

Stellaris turned to McKenzie and started to explain. "Okay so, my family owns this island, right?"

McKenzie stared blankly as Aliyah forced herself to look forward with a neutral expression when she really wanted to burst out laughing.

"We bought it and set it up as a refuge for indigenous peoples who were in places where it is dangerous to be a witch." Stellaris was solemn as she explained. "Our main method of surgery, time manipulators, is too expensive to send out there, so they use the traditional methods. It's like normal human surgery, but instead of medicine, they use magic." She turned to Aliyah. "Junior year is when we do the medical unit. No one in my class was able to do any of it. But... Lili?"

"Of course, I've never had an opportunity to do the cool stuff, but..." Aliyah stood and stepped towards Stellaris. She closed her eyes and banged her wrists together a few times. She pressed her wrists to her forehead. McKenzie swore she could see Aliyah's eyes glow from behind her eyelids.

Then, Aliyah shot her right hand out towards Stellaris.

How Are Tsurei's banks?

If none are taken down, he has six banks.

First is the unmarked VCV. Fun thing - I did some edits, and I think that I actually got my converter to fully work? There were no errors in SetParam?! I like this voice. He sounds like a little boy from an anime.

Who would have guessed that the CVVC Chinese Bank would be lost? It sadly is.

Yankee is a three pitch vcv bank. The voice is high quality. The voice sounds like it could be a tomboy girl in an anime, or a regular kid who is a boy. That slight feminine edge makes me like it more than the one before.

Next is Shikai. It is a one pitch vcv bank. The voice is pretty low! I noticed there are unfortunate errors in the frq files, but because of the whole filename thing, you will need to generate your own and you might be using something better than the default. It's a nice bank.

Next is Gent, a one pitch VCV bank. The voice is calmer and less clear. It is an okay bank!

Finally, we have Satou, a one pitch VCV bank. I really like this one. The pitch is higher than previous banks, which makes him sound cuter.
