Mysterious Pokemon ROM, part five

Lavender Town never scared me. The music wasn't even that unnerving to me. I always rolled my eyes and told myself that people only thought Lavender Town was scary because of the creepypastas. That's probably why Lavender Town was completely unchanged with the color palette from Pokemon Yellow.

I sighed and went into the Pokemon tower and... It was empty aside from the staircases. In a game so focused on death, you'd think the Pokemon Tower would be... Scarier? I expected no trainers, but no new graves? There was faint classical piano music playing. I went up the stairs and it became louder. Again and again, the music getting louder each time until I was on floor seven. There was an NPC on the other side of the room! I ran to talk to them, but halfway through, the Togepi portrait appeared on the screen while panicked voice clips of its cry from the anime played. The Togepi disappeared from the portrait. I could see a Pokemon overworld sprite running away until my focus was drawn back to the portrait. With a flash, it was filled by one of the restless spirit ghosts.

Just as I was leaning in to see what would happen next, the screen went black and I was booted to the menu of my handheld. The ROM was corrupted. I groaned and stood. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed something moving in my mirror. I walked over to it and... It was the restless spirit! I smiled as it menacingly looked at me. I was annoyed about the ROM breaking, but now I had a smart mirror? Getting the ghost off of it and using it as a display would be really cool!

I pulled out my phone and called my brother.

"Hey Jenn!" He was confused but happy I was calling.

"Hey Max! When were you able to get someone in my house to install a smart mirror?"

There was a pause.

"Uh, Jenn? I haven't been to Texas in five years, and I don't know anyone there... Why would you...?"

"Because of the ROM you sent? I played it and now there's a ghost in my mirror."

There was an awkward silence.

I cleared my throat. "You did send me a Gameboy reproduction cart, right?"

"Jenn..." He sounded concerned. "I'll call mom."

He hung up. I shrugged and looked back to my mirror. "Well, Mister Ghost! Digital or spectral, I guess you're going to be my friend now!"

The ghost looked as if he was deflating as his expression turned to sadness.

I giggled and pretended to be terrified. That lifted his spirits until I couldn't help but laugh. "Oh! I'm sure he's joking with me, Mister Ghost. If he's not, I'm very happy to have a new friend!"

The ghost started noiselessly banging on the surface of the mirror, trying to get out.

"Oh, Mister Ghost! You wouldn't want bad luck from breaking a mirror!"

How Is Jun Muryo's bank?

Jun was meant to have more banks, but the only one I could find was the GEAR bank listed on the Wiki. GEAR is a CV bank with three different expressions which can be triggered using the up and down arrows. He has a very nice and youthful voice.
