Forgotten Friday #266 - 愛琉歌レグ / Airuga Regu

Regu is a twenty-two year old pirate captain who is the twin brother of Wenu from last week. He cannot navigate on land and talks to animals. (at least, that's what Bing translate says.)

Charlotte groaned as she rested her head on her desk. Why couldn't she go back to just two years ago when she didn't care at all about the children?

She looked up as she heard a magical tinkling sound like wind chimes or bells. Suddenly, an open umbrella appeared in front of her desk. She grabbed onto the arm rests of her chair as the umbrella began to spin faster and faster until a curtain of light fell from the edges of the umbrella. Then, it stopped spinning and the curtains fell to reveal a young looking woman dressed like the Disney version of Mary Poppins holding the umbrella.

Charlotte, however, did not catch the reference at all. The containment zone wasn't known for nostalgia surrounding movies from the sixties.

"You rang, Miss Penn?" The woman grinned as she took a seat.

Charlotte closed her eyes. "You're... Marcia Andrews. A holistic children's therapist who can also prescribe medication."

"Exactly!" Marcia laughed. "There aren't many of us, are there?"

"Yeah." Charlotte opened her eyes. "I was expecting this to be a Zoom thing."

Marcia shrugged. "It's better for me if it's not. Being completely honest, the real money is in being comped for travel."

"Are you... Joking?" Charlotte groaned.

Marcia gave a wry smirk. "If the school's paying..." She shook her head. "It's illegal to mail controlled substances. Before I started, I wanted you to have a session with a medical forecaster." She reached into her bag and pulled out four small bottles of pills. "The wonderful thing about medical forecasters that really know what they're doing is that they can estimate how someone will react to medication if they're holding onto the patient with one hand and holding the pills in the other."

"Are you telling me that-"

Marcia swatted her hand about as she cut Charlotte off. "No, no. Medical forecasters don't know anything about mental health. They just know about physical health. We just want to make sure that she won't have an allergic reaction or possibly hurt herself."

Charlotte was dumbfounded. "You want us to test the medication before you even speak to her?"

"Not test it on her, just test it with a forecaster." Marcia nodded. "Every child needs something different. I'm not a great talk therapist, and I'll admit that. But I'm a great psychiatrist that focuses on fine tuning the dose until it's working as well as possible. If she can't go on medication, then I'm useless and you need someone else."

"I appreciate your honesty that you might be the wrong person." Charlotte tried to force herself to smile.

"And, if possible," Marcia spun her umbrella in her hands, "This would be a Zoom thing. I just had to come here to deliver the medication by hand so that we'll know if we're wasting our time or not."

"If not you, could you give me names of people you trust?"

"It wouldn't help..." Marcia laughed, "there's around ten of us, and you've messaged all of them already."

How are Airuga Regu's banks?

Regu has a two pitch VCV and a one pitch VCV.

The two pitch VCV is a bit strange. The prefix map is set up so that it will never use the low pitch in almost any song. The OTOs are consistently wrong, but both of those are easily fixed and he has a lovely voice.

Next is the one pitch Spinel. Spinel is a pretty red gemstone. This is a voice acted bank to fit the character, and because of that it feels a bit unnatural, but the voice is still nice.
