Froto is a boy who breathes water. He keeps a dome of water on his head, but he can sometimes breathe through his lungs... I think.

Mr. Sig had kindly let Aliyah skip class to rescue McKenzie from her magic class (with permission from Mrs. Mossgarten, of course).

Aliyah slipped in unnoticed as a room full of children were moving little toys around with their magic. McKenzie was sitting in the corner, working on math problems that her tutor had printed out for her. Aliyah snuck over and got McKenzie's attention before luring her out of the classroom.

"I was worried, Beezus, but I knew you wouldn't get in trouble..." McKenzie looked down at her feet. She was still wearing the robes she had gotten from Miss Constance, but she was wearing them over the clothes that the rich girls had bought for her.

Aliyah took a deep breath. "I talked to a lot of people and I have decided that..." She made eye contact with McKenzie, "I am okay with you not learning magic."

McKenzie smiled brightly. "Really?"

Forcing herself to smile, Aliyah nodded along.

"Oh!!" McKenzie threw herself at Aliyah and wrapped her arms around her. "Magic is scary. It is so, so scary..." She took a deep breath as she pulled away. "There's... It's... Can I have a suppressor?"

"Wait..." Aliyah saw McKenzie every day. She didn't realize anything was changing. She pulled out her phone and found a selfie she took with McKenzie. She held her phone up and nearly doubled over when she realized how different McKenzie looked. The suppressor spell was meant to wear off much more slowly. She was still pale and doll-like, but she had a human skin tone and face compared to before.

She shook her head quickly to try and get the thoughts of how much McKenzie was suffering out of her head. She motioned for McKenzie to follow her and brought her into Mr. Sig's classroom.

Aliyah looked back when she heard McKenzie gasp. McKenzie giggled as she spun in a single circle. The other students looked back as McKenzie called out, "It's gone!"

"It feels like you take up your whole body, huh?" Mr. Sig awkwardly clapped his hands together once. 

Once McKenzie turned back to Aliyah, Aliyah gasped. She watched as McKenzie's facial features morphed until Aliyah saw what McKenzie looked like without the suppression spell.

"It'll come back," Mr. Sig called out. "This room blocks all magic. As soon as she leaves, she'll go back to looking..." He didn't know how to appropriately finish that sentence.

"Oh!" Stellaris gasped. She hopped up to her feet and hurried to McKenzie. McKenzie turned to her and smiled. Stellaris giggled. "You're even more of a cute baby now!"

Mr. Sig cleared his throat as McKenzie grinned as largely as she could. He spoke, "There's an empty desk in the back where McKenzie can quietly do whatever she wants, but she can also sit in the empty seat next to Aliyah if she likes to participate in class."

McKenzie let out a small giggle as she gathered her things and went to the back of the classroom.
